Language Issues in global chat?

Hi all!

I recently downloaded the game to my Android tablet only to discover that the global chat is in Japanese! I do not speak the language, or have any idea what's going on :/

We are currently stationed in Japan (military) but if my game is in English (on the English setting) shouldn't my global also be in the same language?

Someone please help. I'm still a "noob" on this account and haven't saved up enough for my clan castle :( lol
