We've noticed that when a neighbor looks at your birdhouse, il looks as if all the holes are full of scrolls. However, if you look at your own, the holes are empty. Why is that? What's the point?

I know I've seen that as well. If I have a scroll it typically means there's a request sitting there. I currently have no scrolls and no requests. However, if a neighbor looks at my birdhouse it appears to be completely full. Same is true if I look at anyone else in my NH. Why? Makes no sense.
That's a trading post. It has to do with neighborhoods. I don't can't use it because I am the only one in my neighborhood. I finally made my own neighborhood, but no one joins my neighborhood, I don't have it as everyone can join, either. I don't want just anyone joining, I want people to help with derby, etc.
I think its rude to kick people out of the neighborhood because they don't do well in derby. That person could be trading but not do well on derby. He/She could be helpful with boat, but not derby. U get rid of that person, and he/she is totally gone!
I know what you are talking about and I don't really think it matters. It's like when others can see your machines running but not whats sitting in the collection queue. I think its just a privacy thing. Besides who cares how many request is sitting in the box. I think it might just be easier for the game designers to always have everyone's full instead of tailoring 1 million farms to how many requests they actually have.
How do you feel about someone who does one of these three things:
1) Shows up first thing Tues morning, picks a help task, then doesn't finish it or show up for the rest of the derby,
2) Waits till there are only 6 hrs left in the derby & picks a task that is impossible to finish in that amount of time, or
3) Doesn't show up at all during the derby, pops in on Mon, puts helps on boat crates & announces that her boat isn't for the derby?
We have one who's been doing this for a few months now. I hate to kick her out because she's been in the hood longer than I have (even tho I got elected co-leader & she's "just" a member), but it's getting on my nerves! Not sure if anyone else has noticed. So far no one has complained.
Is she helpful? Does she take and not give? What are the rules of your neighborhood? Are you required to do the derby? She gives as much as she takes and is not free loading then I don't see the problem. If she is not doing the derby when that is required to be in the neighborhood then I would talk to her and give her a warning. You were promoted and she stayed member for a reason.
Sounds like you have your hands full. Does she opt in? Have you tried opting her out? I really don't have an answer for you and since this is off topic, the mods might want the discussion moved. I will say that these Neighborhoods require quite a bit of diplomacy. When they first started I was really very vocal against them as most folks will tell you. It's taken a while for me to find one I really felt at home with. Even then I sometimes find myself fussing to myself when someone plays differently than I do. It's really a good thing, no one can hear me gripe. Luckily I am really close with one of my neighbors and we both take turns venting to each other. A couple of rants later and we are back to farming.
I hope it works out for you all
