Linked Clans/ Feeder Clans

I have always thought that it would be cool if we could link our feeder clans to our main one, and even perhaps have the clans titled as mother clan, and feeder clans. The main addition would be a link to the feeder clans near the clan description to help players become more aware of their brother and sister clans.

Most, if not all, decently ranked clans have at least two other clans associated with themselves where they can send prospect players to farm.

Another feature that that would be extremely, extremely handy would be an easy way to transfer players from clan to clan (perhaps elders, or if you were were to add more clan ranks, players one rank above elder could send transfer requests to players that when accepted would send that player to one of the clans linked associates.

last but not least, donation counts would transfer over to all linked clans.

another possible clan feature would be if you added "joined" dates under peoples profile to mark how long they've been with their clan.

My clan also has sister clans and this would be great. Under the name of the main clan. Its a good idea all around. Man, i didnt thing of this, wish i did

This would also be a solution for people who want bigger clans, without actually increasing clan size.

This is such an excellent idea that it needs to be bumped. I don't know why this hasn't been implemented yet. Clans could be associated in three ways:
1. Feeder clan
2. Farming clan
3. Brother/sister clan

The only problem that I see is how clans would be defined as being associated. Of course if you could "apply" to be associated, the top clans would get a bunch of applications. I was thinking that the clan with the higher number of trophies would have to apply to the one with lower trophies and it would have to accept, but I'm not sure that that would work very well.

Any other ideas?

There are several different types of Clan Families to be considered.

Stratified Families (LVL100+, LVL90+, LVL80+, all LVLs)
Purpose Families (Pushing, Farming, Donating)
Flat Families (Clans with various levels, requirements, purposes, locations etc who are associated together)

It would be good if there was more ability to see the actual links as well. There are very many fraudulent feeder clans to the famous clans, and for some newer players it may be hard for them to tell.
A page showing the grouped clans (family) would be nice.

I like this it would be handy and fun.
The worst thing about splitting to form new clans is losing touch with those clanmates in the other clan.
Currently hopping between clans is bad as it leaves the clan looking like it has weak donations from all the resets.
