Donating elixir gold and dark elixir

What is the rationale for not allowing donating gems?

I know this idea has been ruled out, but was curious to hear on the rationale of it. Is it because it can be abused? If yes, how? I dont understand what is the loss of SC. Someone will have to buy them anyway, does it matter who?

It would be good if that was possible. E.g. in our clan we wanted to give prizes for highest donator, few gems. But we don't know how to actually do it. Itunes gift cards would not work as they can be redeemed only within the country they are purchased.

Btw, if that is possible maybe (I have heard/read about clans giving those kind of prizes) pls let me know.

It will be abused as players will make seperate account and just donate resources to themselves. It will negate any need for a base to have to use pumps and mines and a higher lvl player could just farm massive amounts of resources and donate them to his lower level and vice versa and it would limit farming as well.

Oh, my... Yet, another topic of this... There's at least two everyday, useless thread like this... Please, check the sticky (its always there and like on the top of the page), before trying to set up another one about the same topic... The reasons why they didn't put it is in there, also the other people above explained pretty thoroughly.

If you look at the number of forum posts you can see that Aseba only has 3 posts. Don't be rude to new people obviously he hasn't been here long enough to know that a numerous amount of people have proposed this idea. Btw, don't just tell him to read the sticky, chances are he has no idea what "read the sticky" means. Perhaps provide a link so he knows what you're talking about and what type of information the link contains. Recommending tips and ideas as to what he can do to help the issue would also be helpful. Instead of acting mean and rude be mindful of new people in the forums.

aseba is not the only one who posts this. what he is saying is multiple people post this without reading whats ruled out.......:mad:

The issue is that people don't come into the forum automatically programmed to search for a thread where all the ideas that have been ruled out are located. What happens is that new members come in with an idea they believe may help the game without the slightest idea that it's been proposed before. I'm sure when you were born you were not programed to know all the real life social rules that society expects for you to know, it's basically the same idea here. It takes knowledgeable forum members to show them the way by providing the link as well and tips if applicable.

I wasn't trying to be rude. What I'm saying is that he should've searched the topic in the whole forums, see if anything oops up, if not suggest it.

Plus, when clicking on the "Clash of Clans" forum from the Supercell Fourms, under the "Ideas and Future Request" forum, there's a huge label that says "please read the stickies first" and as him not knowing what a sticky is, clicking this sub forum would redirect him to the forum, correct? And then at the top there are topics that start with the word "sticky" and the 4th one from the top says "please read before posting"

I understand what you're saying but one must always assume that most new people are forum illiterate. I for one was illiterate to this forum and it took me a bit of time to learn where everything was and how it works. Going through the different sub sections was like trying to read the Matrix sometimes. Therefore I just make the presumption that everyone below 10 posts is in the position I once was.
