Waterfall Trap

New defensive hidden trap: Waterfall/Water Trap

The idea is similar to an air sweeper, though, for ground and having a much more limited range.

Features:
- Can face in 8 directions (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW)
- Upgradeable (Pushes more troops/pushes troops farther)
- Hidden until troops pass in front of trap
- Pushes ground troops away from the trap in the direction pointed
- Available at TH9+
- 12 tile radius, 3 tile width
- Trap is 2x2

How it works:
- Activates when troops are within range of the trap, in the direction pointed at
- One time use in each defense (Or more)
- Shoots out water in a "river" type thing in a small range
- Water curves around walls and buildings, but maintains tile range
- Troops get stuck if there is no where for the water to go to
- Water seeps into ground shortly after it reaches end of its range or if it reaches a barrier that it cannot pass

HP : 520
No Damage
Push rate : 2 tiles per second (At level 1, increases 0.25 per level)
Max at -
TH9 : Lvl 3
TH10 : Lvl 6
TH11 : Lvl 9


I can't draw well enough to depict what it'll look like, so imagine a wood barrel (Filled with water) on two stands, that rotates on an axis that goes through the barrel. Pops up out of the ground. Barrel rotates in direction it's pointing towards and drops water.

- Possible temporary slowness effect on troops affected
- Possible damage to a certain type of troop, Ex: Dark Based

It needs something more in my opinion, still good concept I can see it in the game, I'm still waiting for tomorrow update with the new spell traps, and troop traps, ectc!

What ideas do you have that could improve it?

Maybe it could add a slowness buff, and slows down the troops temporarily, but it doesn't do damage.
Or it could also do minor damage to dark-elixir-based troops.

I think this new idea is better, we need something to slow down troops like a sub-freeze trap, continue with your posts

LOL I had the same idea once! However, I think it's better if this trap pushes troops back whatever direction they come from (not like the air sweeper) as it's an one time use defense anyway. It would be like a water bubble then that bursts when troops trigger it. Radius should be decreased to 4-6 in this case. But nice concept

I think this would nerf ground attacks quite a bit
For example GoHo at th9 wouldn't work if the hogs kept getting blown away from the defenses

I like the idea of it pushing the way its pointed. That way you can (as with the air sweeper) strategize where it pushes the troops to. This can be to lead them into a trap or put them on a route to go around the outside.

Questions to OP (that mostly assume it is directional) -
What happens if the troops get pushed against a wall.
Do they just keep going as if the wall isnt there? (not very realistic)
Does the water swirl and redirect like it would in RL and take the troops with it?
Do the troops just stop against the wall and are free to move again as soon as the flow stops.
What if they come at it from behind? Does it go early or does it wait until they cross it and are in front of where it is pointing?

Yes, the Idea is that it is directional, allowing for strategic placement and pathing.
1. Troops and water would flow through the closest opening, though the distance traveled would be less than if it were to be in a straight like. Maybe is it does a 90 degree turn, reduces 2 tiles in radius.
2. Yes, water should swirl and redirect
3. If there's no where else to go, troops are stuck temporarily until water stops (water should take around 5 seconds throughout the entire range)
4. It waits until they cross, as described, the trap only comes up if the troops are in front of it, or in range.

I personally find th9 to be pretty easy to 3 star at the current state of wars, so I personally would want it, even if it means more of a challenge for me.

I personally find th9 to be pretty easy to 3 star at the current state of wars, so I personally would want it, even if it means more of a challenge for me.

if the water has nowhere to go, and for realism, should it pool up and drown those troops? (Troops right on the other side of the wall would be untouched) then the pond hangs there but gets released if someone breaks that wall.

If the water goes against a wall and was pooling should there be a point where it washes over the wall taking troops with it? (Whether it did would depend on how far into its run the water was.

Do you mind if I also have some fun...

The water will soak back into the ground, that's what I think. I think adding a drowning effect would put the complexity of this trap to a level that's not coherent to the game itself.

Yes, troops on the other side of the wall will be fine.

Nope, little did you know that they're made out of a stainless steel alloy which makes it super strong and rust-resistant. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
