There is a lot of great info online about improving one's play and understanding of the game. I thought I would fill this post with information that can help all ranges of players starting out, since we tend to suggest the same things in chat. I'll try to update this frequently and hope everyone can get some use out of it.

Max Your Defenses Before Upgrading Town Hall
I see this constantly with newer members. People with TH7 or TH8, 2 mortars and level 3 walls. Upgrading your town hall too early is a major mistake because it makes it harder for you to find appropriate targets to raid. The bigger problem is it makes it much harder to save up and keep the resources you do raid because your defenses are so weak.

Buy builders before ANYTHING.
The post below details the benefits of buying builders and how to use them. Post #8 is especially useful because it outlines the time saved by spending $20 and buying your fifth builder - 50% increase in efficiency. If you're going to play the game seriously just suck it up and drop $20 for an otherwise excellent game. Time is money :D

Lazy farming is just what's referred to as getting resources in the most efficient manner and not worrying about trophies.

I suggest you browse through the thread below to get an idea for what players consider proper and effective farming bases. Of course coming up with your own base is a big part of the fun!

Adult Player. Im lvl 93 with lvl 3 xbows, lvl 7 mortars, lvl 6 wiz towers working on them to lvl 7 and working on my walls. My walls are going to lvl 8 and so far i have 53 and ive been doing them for about 1 and a half weeks. My archers are lvl 6 and wizards are lvl 5. Im looking to join nakama union and can comfortably far at crystal II or above. PM if interested thx:)
