[Nakama Union] Lim weekly TH8 base designs

I had greatly benefit from my clan mates and forum. They have taught me a lot regarding base designs. I had also come to love making new designs. After some advices from my clannies to share my ideas here, I decide to make a thread posting some of my base designs. I will post a new one every week so feel free to comment on all of them.

Below is a design I have used many weeks. It give quite good results. Feel free to comment.

P.S. The balloons are blocking so I pull the camp out slightly... lol

P.S.S I had changed to a new design (a transformer base) now. If it shows good results as well, I will post it the next Sunday.

P.S.S.S Changing bases on iphone is a pain...even with village editior...lol

Good base, has the good things combined together.

I would recommend making your bottom right same as your upper left, if you know what I mean. :cool:

Coz wb then giant at the bottom right could, possibly run straight for the wizard tower instead of the cannon inside the funnel. But your upper left does not have this risk at all because the upper left mortar is submerged more inside.

Thank you for the comment. It is a valid suggestion. Normally the wb will be attracted to the AT compartment instead of the WT compartment so till now, I have not encounter such problem. But that might be due to poor deploying from the attacker. Note taken. I will do some adjustment if I switched back to this design again. There is a reason for that 2 walls behind the WT. That will prevent giants from attacking the joints and access to 2 compartments at one time. I have them in some of my designs and it works if the design allows for such wall placement.

Anyway, I am testing out a new transformer base now. Will be testing it for 1 week with the TH inside. If the results are good, I will post in on the coming Sunday with the battle log. Will be testing it at the 1600-1800 region. I know I show have test higher but I still need to farm for some upgrades:p

I am The Man P from your clan, and I have been admiring this base for a while!

Looks great, keep up the good work.

Tested my new transformer base. They are tested at 1700-2000 trophy ranges so we can see pekka, hogs, balloons, witch, etc.

Below is the transformer base. If you want better DE protection, you can switch the DE with the central AD.

As promised, below is attached is the def log. Please pardon the poor graphics. I do not know how to shrink it small while retaining its sharpness.

As you can see(if you can make it out...lol:p), there are 12 attacks... with 11 serious raids and 1 raid with 1 archer drop. The attacker range from range from 1600 to 2000+ except for one revenge at 1400+

1)There are 3 def wins (excluding the 1 archer drop) and 8 losses
2)There are only 5 losses with more than 50% (including two 100% by mass balloons and hogs with 3 heal spells)
3)Those losses with less than 50% are from TH taken down(obviously...lol:rolleyes:)

There is no need for me to talk about the pro of these base but I feel its important to talk about its con.

1)The AD position is not as strong as I want it to be unless it is switched with the gold storage as shown but the gold will be in a weaker position.
2)As the base is compact, a good hog user with heal spells can caused you a lot of trouble.
3)If the attacker sent in its attacker to clear the def first, then follow by AQ, you will have problem. With the AQ sitting behind out of reach of the still standing def, your TH will be sitting duck. I have some losses due to that too.

Its one week again and my TH8 farming base(interior funneling) was tested for one week at 1600-1900 range. I keep more than 1 million of gold and elixir and more than 35k of DE in order to entice the attackers to raid me.

Total I have 22 raids against me, of which 13 are TH snipe. The other 9 raids varies in success.

1) Only 3 managed to get my DE totally by raiding.
2) One got half of my DE while another lightning me...lol
3) Only 4 managed to more than 50% me (57%, 52%, 65%, 67%)
4) I never lose 3 of any resources and while most of the time, I only lose 1 out of 3 store. Even for Elixir.
5) I'm too lazy to crop the defense log. But I did screenshot the 9 serious raids. I try to find time to do it but no promise...lol:rolleyes:

Below is the farming base. I pulled out the camp as it was blocking the views with all the balloons...:rolleyes:

I will start testing a DE centric TH8 base. As usual, I will be testing for 1 week at range around 1600-1900.

This will most likely be my last base I will show here as I will be moving to TH9 soon. Hopefully my bases here are of some help to others in the forum.
