2 simple different ways to kill engineering
1. Reduce number of war attacks to one
2. Split the wars into th3-8 & th9-11. This would also resolve other issues, like th3 having to deal with max troops in cc'd.
Either of those would stop war base engineering overnight as there would be no advantage to taking a weak defense into war
and will bring thousands of more issues , 1 of them is avg clan won't be able to war with those large sized 40v40 or 50v50 or not even 30 v30Quote:

1) wouldn't help much at all. Engineers would just target higher bases allowing non engineered bases to dip. If anything you'd give engineers an advantage.Quote:

I repsect and understand that. It is nice to see insight into an engineers clan match ups. However I have to disagree with the downplaying of the problem to a simple mismatch. When you get mismatched the advantage isn't detrimental and that's the difference. With my clan we war back to back, mismatches will always be a thing but when it happens more often than not then it isn't a mismatch it's the norm. This is the case for many clans and the problem is when we get matched with an engineered clan we have to hope the engineers are poor attackers! Let's say we have a 15 v 15 war we usually will have 2-3 th10 5-6 th9s 6-8 th8 or lower, we will tend to get matched with the same number of 10s but there will be at least one engineered th11 and/or th10. This th11 can be maxed th10 with th11 defences except no new th11 defences (eagle and xbow mainly) that's tougher to 3 star than a max 10 to start. Let's say they have that and then a th11 but th8/9 defences (cool we can 3 star that no problem) however that gives them the ability to get a perfect war with far less effort since a good th11 can pretty handily triple a max th10 or at least get a very high % 2 star. Our odds on a perfect war are abysmal in comparison so we attack as best we can and hope they don't wreck us if we can't triple everything. Now see that scenario happen twice every 3 wars, do you still enjoy warring? Do you still think the problem is simply people over reacting to mismatches?Quote:

but yeah i also believe although for most part matchmaking is fixed it still need some improvements ... like something still causing normal clans to match engineer clans even when they are not engineer or something ... but this is why this thread is for .. and i wish after this new algorithm matching engineer with engineer is not just like 1 side have just 1 acc and the other side have 15-20 engineer accs ..
After taking our beating against 21 grand wardens, we are soft served a weak clan. The pendulum swings hard. Now I feel bad for the other guys given they have 1 war won and are up against a tough opponent. I don't think we should call it match making. More like pick a random clan and toss it onto the roulette table. Yep. Spin the wheel. Nobody knows what will happen. Not even Supercell.

I have a few accounts scattered across a few different clans. All clans with varying degrees of engineering in then.
Almost without fail, the heavily engineered clan IS being matched with similarly engineered clans.
An almost zero engineered clan is - you guessed it - RARELY facing any real engineering in opponents.
My main clan on the other hand, where approximately half the clan has some degree from .5s to 2/3 th levels lopsided [but not excessive] engineering has its oppos vary wildly. Current war is a walk over, previous war we were well out engineered and took a right spanking.
The current algorithm HAS made huge improvements in making fair wars. To my mind it just needs tweaking, not replacing.
Bear in mind, an algoritm that gives a maxer the same advantage over someone new at any like for like th level is just as unfair as maxers deem the selective engineering. To my mind anyway.
just stop wars...we did it ..more relaxed and less frustration over sc lotto system for the matchup..
if ppl just stop they will be forced to do something...
i understand its not easy to build a 100% system...but i would prefer they just match th vs th..then its up to players to max up to have a chance...like in normal game or builderhut..

Using the townhall might sound good on the face of it but in reality with the sheer time it takes to near max a th level would make wars even worse for anyone who just upped their th.
If most of the clan need to be left out for 3-6months at a time so as not to be a liability while maxing, how could wars even be started?

this manipulating with war weight has gone to far...
Before engineering started if you had a weak th9 he could attack a strong th8...then there was always another th9 that could cover with his 2 attacks...
The games is supposed to be based on progress..not skip some buildings to have an advantage in wars..
