Certainly makes sense.

I've made two posts recently on the matchmaking topic -- neither suggested a change was already implemented -- but both have been extremely critical of the current matchmaker. I just contribute to this thread with the hope that the rational is understood and that the upcoming changes are done correctly. From the interview on the topic, I took away that roster engineering would still remain a problem albeit the potential gap would be lessened.

Fantastic! Our war losses are mainly through engineered bases. Not talking about the .5 bases... Engineered... So, TH11 bases with TH9 defenses but maxed troops and heroes. Something needs to be done, but I have no idea how to fix it. If SC refines the search logic, it seems like the war matching would take longer, but I have no issue with that... I am in legend and wait hours for a base... waiting hours for a war match... non-issue to me... Good luck SC and thanks!! Love Clash! Clash on ya'll!!

He didn't say you didn't get a bad match, so viewing your match wouldn't change anything. In fact, SC has said they recognize the matchmaker has faults that results in bad matches. Instead, he is saying your bad match is based on those faults, not on any recent change.

True, Darian didnt say that but I haven spoken dozens of clans last days (hard core war clans) who all complain that last wars are extremly off.

Not like we saw last year but extremly off, ours was so unbelievable off , nobody of the serious war community in Holland has ever seen such a mismatch.

I am very sorry Darian but we dont believe nothing has changed. Perhaps not intentionally but our match, dozens of wars clans now get horrible matches.
Yes, just statistics, the chance you throw the dices 100 times 6 in a row is small but it can, and will happen one day.

We , and those Dutch war clans , are just facing that statistical mishap, notihing has change.

Absolutely sick of engineered bases, hope this comes sooner rather than later.

Can't believe people can even try to defend them, there is no argument about it, it is completely unfair and ruins the game for many, only benefiting the clans who use this cheap exploit.

Can't believe it's took SC this long to address the issue, such a relief to hear this though so can't bad mouth.
Wars will be fun again (even when we lose cos it was fair!!)

Not only do I not understand the point you are trying to make, matchmaking goes far beyond what you listed above anyways.

Most realize the MM has issues. The only action to do is wait and see what changes come through.

Maybe they tried some type of unannounced tweak or the available pool of clans changed but things over the past week are so uneven that it isn't even remotely funny.

No doubt the white knights are ready to roll in and say its all in our head or just bad luck but our clan doesn't believe that for one second. MM is worse than ever and there is no way we can adjust bases or our roster quick enough to offset 12 TH11s w/ fully maxed heroes against our 2. :mad:

I could be that engineered clans are warring more often because they see changes are coming that could take away their easy wins...

Hey Darian just curious, when was the last update to matchmaking?

The thing is nothing has changed, we still get th10's bases matching with th7's. If anything it's got worst. You need to match offence & defence

Nothing has changed because it hasn't been implemented yet, so I'm not sure how it could have got worse..
Darian said a few days ago the new matchmaking system is currently in the testing phase of development. This doesn't mean it's ready they could find they need to make some more changes and then test it again.
He also said when it is going to be implemented he will make a new sticky so until that happens, try not to continue saying it's not any better, nothing has changed or it needs to be improved, patience is a virtue and complaining before it's actually been changed isn't going to help anyone.
