Matchmaking not work if u meet minimax.minimax is 👎
When will this come into action? Still getting ♥♥♥♥ match ups not even funny. :'c
I think sc is putting too much weight on heroes(especially queen and king).I see a lot of engineered base with max troops with low leveled heroes. SC makes a lot of money upgrading heroes, why not reward players ?
I do agree, MM has changed.
My clan is running 20v20 wars. We have two TH10 with IT, eight TH10 without IT (recent TH10s) and TH9s (maxed and maxing). I guess this lineup is very common in many clans.
Last three wars we got, respectively, 2, 8 and 6 TH11s. Almost all TH11s with GW level 5+ and maxed Dragons or Valks. Last war, a TH11 number 10 in map had 1 level 3 IT, 2 Xbow level 4 and BK/AQ/GW level 10.
It seems "weight system" is not working as before. At least, I dont remember facing this scenario with 3 engineered clans in a row.
These are bad base engineers. Rusher is probably the better term for them. They probably also have low level walls and still probably can't three star a max TH below their TH level.
Good base engineers max heros, max the troops they use, and build and upgrade select defenses including building all available walls and upgrading all to max. They also tend to be experienced and skilled attackers. Anyone who takes base building and war half way seriously knows the advantage this "play style" offers due to loopholes in base weighting and war matchmaking. Competitive clans that lose wars to this exploitation have people who make alternate accounts to try to add a few engineered bases of their own. They end up gemming things, especially hero completion times, which SC continues to GROW REVENUE off of. This is the simple reason why there was no response to engineering until recently and why the current answer is so politically correct.
Factor in good engineers with roster engineering, and you have an even bigger potential gap in matchup. An example of roster engineering is a clan whose bottom quarter of participants are defenseless TH3 that don't need to be able to contribute anything to their war since the middle above them have two attacks to be able to cover them. With practically zero weight at the bottom, this allows the roster engineers to have a couple more higher level town halls than you at the top, usually more manicured TH11s that have high level infernos, four xbows, and the eagle. This isn't a competitive matchup. This is a loss on paper, a loss when played out, a waste of time, and might soon be a loss of gamer.
Ah the placebo effect. It seems to pop up when proposed changes are slated to happen. No changes have yet taken place to the matchmaking algorithm. Any perceived differences are just that...perceived, due to the nature of statistics.
As stated earlier, I'll be posting a sticky as to when the matchmaking changes will be going live. Until then, no changes to the system are planned or have been implemented secretly...unless code ninjas, secretly posing as the custodial staff, accessed our systems and bypassed our authentication security.
Darian, I would suggest coming to our clan and see the last war. Matching has never been so bad als last weeks.
34 Th11 with max laloon against us, higher defenses for at least the top 20.
And you call that placebo?
please come visit us and see for your self
I think one reason mm may be worse is non engineered clans are not warring, people are getting tired of being matched against a clan when you know you're gonna loose before the war even starts.. So the pool for non engineered clans to match up with other non engineered clans has gotten smaller. That coupled with more and more clans resorting to engineering to try and get a war they can win.
Thank you for this update. When the prior announcement was made that changes were coming, it brought more attention to matchmaking and more people to the forums. Those are good things, but, as you said, with the natural variability that exists with thousands of wars, it isn't a surprise that more people are posting about bad matches since more people are here chatting about matches.
He didn't say you didn't get a bad match, so viewing your match wouldn't change anything. In fact, SC has said they recognize the matchmaker has faults that results in bad matches. Instead, he is saying your bad match is based on those faults, not on any recent change.
