Will vouch for this war since I was in it too, really was a head scratcher.
Yes, normally with a match like that you'll see a big hero advantage, or they have a load of .5s so they're not really th10s.
Nope. Top 9 pretty identical, same goes for bottom 10....but in the middle, 5 max th10 vs 5 max 9s.
As it turned out, they were a really good clan as well, so it was unwinnable.
Has to be one of the worst matches I've ever seen, considering there was no roster or base manipulation in sight from either side. No allowances, no hero vs inferno trade offs....just straight mismatch of crippling proportions.
I've heard this rhetoric before a few times, and understand the frustration. However... overtime, I've come to the conclusion that the 'recent war performance' checkbox was actually implemented to help the losing clans in the main, not penalise the winning ones in particular.
Just my opinion of course...very subjective! It just makes more sense to me, which in turn probably lessens its validity!!!XD

We were on a 5 streak, them on 4.
Is 5 the magic number where they start allowing big weight disadvantages? Cos the clan on a 4 streak found themselves in an 'un-losable' match, which does rather go against the point they're making.
That does make sence but continually matching clans that don't perform so well will just lead to an even bigger difference in skill level. For any clan wanting to progress always great to come against someone better than yours. Perfect opportunity to get new base design ideas & 1st hand experience of the current meta(s).

yes, it helps the losing clans, but it also penalises the winning ones. that's not different than, in a fps game, giving better guns to the less skilled players
come on everybody, skilled players win and unskilled players lose, it has always been like this, everywhere
Wouldn't the simplest solution be to just adjust the war rankings by TH level?
IE - the lowest TH10 will always be ranked above the highest TH9, 9>8, 8>7, etc.
This would take the heavily engineered bases from the bottom of the lineup and actually be a disadvantage.
But it wouldn't hurt casually rushed or X.5 bases since most casually rushed bases grab the shiny new defenses (x bows and ITs) and the X.5s are typically maxed before going up.
