Before the big mm update we were sometimes unlucky dealing with an engineered base. After the update we are almost every war confronted with a mismatch. The last one featuring 9 th10 vs 4 in our clan. It seems the game engine is not favoring clans with a lot of maxed townhalls. Th11 with lvl 6 dragons or th10 with lvl 5 dragons are mirroring lvl8 th's. Engineering still pays off. You only have to do it a bit more sneaky. Its still ruining the game.
Supercell makes a lot of profit thnx to the enginered clans. You need a lot of gems to get such lobsided accounts. I suppose that's why enginered now is called a playstyle instead of a cheat.
It would be very good for the reputation of supercell to be just straightforward and make war matches the way the game was intended. The most simple, fair and best match match making would be just counting the town halls and match the townhall levels.
Maxing your account and becoming a better player would be the only way the improve your war results. And thats excactly how the game was intended to be played.
Supercell wants to be a community but they are actually driven by financial intentions. Its time to do the right thing and build an honest community. They will still earn a lot of money. But they will also earn the respect of the community. Dare to make a choice Supercell!!!

Please stop implementing "improvements". You guys have somehow made the matchmaking worse in your supposed quest to improve the game.
To me, the fix is easy. Create a weight meter. Only when you have upgraded enough items and troops (various mix and matches can be used to reach these benchmarks) to unlock the next town hall will such townhall be released by the game. No more villages with maxed wardens and heroes that have archer towers you'd normally see in a level 8 town hall.
Give engineered players a fair 2 month warning to upgrade. Otherwise, after the deadline, their town halls automatically drop back to match their weight, causing them to lose wardens, infernos or whatever perks come with engineering a base. That, or force them into a separate league, after the deadline, created for lopsided bases. This will force clan leaders to either kick those players, or accept their sentencing and split the clan, allowing them to war in both leagues but with smaller rosters.
I know this is wishful thinking as SC is probably enjoying the influx of cash being dropped by engineering players, but they're losing long time players and they're definitely going to lose new players.
Ever since SC has announced they were going to start implementing improvements, the amount of engineered clans we face is at 100% and our clan's win percentage went from 80% to 30%. That makes players angry. Angry players leave the game. Sure, they may forget and come back. But that last about 3 days before they remember why they left the last time. Maybe CoC IS dead and SC is just cashing in their chips, making as much money as they can without concern of loyal players.
Since the last two updates we have had engineered base matchups...
Our clan 3 TH11's, 3 TH10's, 4 TH9's.
Our last two matchups have been 6!!! TH11's and 4 TH9's, AND 5!!! TH11's, 2 TH10's and 3 TH9's.
If you want to FIX the engineering problem then just match TH for TH first!... then all the other attributes of war weight.
This is driving my clan to quitting... oh and don't get me started on the Builder Base matchups, my BH6 which I'm still trying ot max out is getting matched with BH7's with giant cannons which is no match for my BM. But I'll make another post to ♥♥♥♥♥ about this...
Very similar situation happening to us right now. My clan is actually refusing to attack unless we see their th11 unable to clean our th10. It's so frustrating. We have more red in our war log since the mm changes then we had in the previous 3 months, all thanks to th11 mismatches via engineering.Quote:

Imagine watching the Little League World Series and one team decides they're going to put an 18 year old guy on their roster. Glad to see integrity is a priority over there.
I agree with the aspect that they're too money driven. I get it. You need to be profitable to keep the lights on and the game going. But I think Super Cell had a hay-day moment a couple of years back as it pertains to revenue, and they've been trying to maintain or reach that level of income again. Even if it means compromising integrity. It's not that they're losing money right now. It's that they just got used to a certain amount of money coming in and they want to maintain that.Quote:

Where I disagree with your post EvanSpikes is on the solution. Counting Town Halls will simply give you more of what we have now. In another post, I suggested creating a weight meter. Let's say a level one archer tower gives you a weight of one unit. Each upgrade increases your weight units by a factor of one. Do the same thing for cannons, x-bows, mortars, troops, heroes, etc. Let's say your weight needs to be 200 in order to upgrade to a TH8. This can be achieved by a number of ways and upgrades, but you have to hit at minimum 200. Then to upgrade to Town Hall 9, you need to be at a minimum of 350. And so on and so on. But have set, definitive weight standards for each Town Hall. Implement this change to the game. Any player who has a level 11 Town Hall with the weight of a Town Hall 9 gets pushed to a separate league of lopsided villages. They have their own rewards and ranks and they get to play with other cheaters till their heart is content. However, cheaters don't enjoy a level playing field where they're forced to play against other cheaters and they'll either push to upgrade those villages back into the regular league, or they'll just abandon the village and that league will eventually die off. The solid villages get to go back to business as usual and play against other players who enjoyed the game the way it was intended to be played.
All that said, I know they won't ever fix this. They probably have an equation on who they get more money from. Either players who are solid and have been playing for 4+ years, or players who pay a bunch of money to engineer a base in a matter of months. Who is gonna increase their revenue more?
