Clan War Matchmaking Improvements

Still not completely impressed, war mm is better but still seeing some massive offensive matches against us, we lose a few wars by a star or 2 now, or we win by 1 or 2 but usually due to poor attackers on their side. We are a clan for the over 40 crowd, and have been together for a few years with some really well skilled players but when your opponents have 3 or 4x the th11s due to a few new th3s sitting at the bottom of the map, clearly as fodder, its just frustrating knowing they have more attacks at your top accounts. Yes its been going on for awhile just seems more obvious now to me. Just my humble opinion and the new update is looking like the madness will just continue by adding more to th11s. Good luck clashers just needed to vent and share my frustrations.

It has been worse for us since the second MM tweak. Our opponents generally have twice as many TH11 attacks as us since the second MM change. And a number of their extras are well engineered, so 10s usually can't clear them.. We win or lose by a few stars depending on the opponent's attacking skills, but we are ALWAYS warring uphill and it is getting old.

My current war has FIVE th11s vs ONE th11. Two of them aren't very good attackers but the other 3 accounts are mine so we should be fine

Note: Max Teslas are not sure as it is still preparation day in our clan but we can guess easily they have teslas according to their wall arrangements.

Let us know how that works out. I'm curious..if the th11 are going against th9s or weak 10s the troop numbers may be overwhelming... But I do hope u guys pull it out :)

We just got crushed in a 15v15.

US : 1 x TH11
THEM : 4 x TH11, their weakest TH11 had a lvl16 Warden and max TH11 Offence war troops.

So Warden lvl count :- 20 v 76 in a 15v15 war! Great!

Our opponents also had an extra Eagle.
It was a massacre, we were perfected with plenty of spare TH11 attacks left!
This really isn't fun anymore.

Still big unbalanced mm. There should never be a difference in th level numbers.
please can you add an option to sort the war map by total weight or defense only ?

I have just tried an experiment.

I took 10 of my accounts and put them in a brand new lvl 1 clan. So no troop upgrade of course. I had 2 th11, no eagles, both with lvl1 infernos, a mix of th10 defence pieces but no th11 pieces. Then a bunch of th10 with no infernos and mostly th9 defence pieces. Lvl1 x bows only. I suppose you could call them engineered to a fashion, as they have lvl5 valks and lvl 6 hogs.

the match I got was against a lvl12 clan, so 2 lvl troop upgrade, 4 th11, three of which have max troops of one kind or another. The top th11 has multiple max troops, lvl 3 infernos, a lvl1 eagle and th11 defence pieces.

is it a bad match? Well, clearly the top guy has a defensive advantage. He has an eagle, I don't. He has lvl3 infernos, I have lvl 1. He has higher lvl defence pieces and more of them. In my favour, my heroes are max, his are 34/30/7 and my walls are max, his are a mix of lvl10 and 11. Other than heroes, our offence is the same in terms of max war troops. So really it's my bigger heroes versus his extra defence levels. BUT, they have 3 goes at my base with th11 max troops.

for the no 2 bases. I have an extra set of lvl1 infernos but only th10 defence pieces to go with them. They have 3 th11 attacks with max troops to send at that guy. My no 2 has heroe sizes 23/20/7 and lvl3 bowlers. Probably odds against clearing a th11 with an eagle and lvl3 infernos

after that we can clear each other easily enough so that it doesn't matter.

overall, I think it's a bad match for me. I may well clear their top guy, but really I have only one go at it AND I have to clear an eagle and lvl3 infernos. For my top guy they only have to deal with a set of lvl1 infernos, TH10 defence pieces AND they get three goes at it.

they have 2 th3 stuck at the bottom, perhaps that helped them, but at this point, I have given up trying to assess why matches are what they are.

If they didn't have an eagle, if they had only 2 th11, then it's an even match. But as it is, they have higher lvl defence pieces and more of them, and more accounts with th11 war troops, so I think it's uneven.

I will add to the fire: please explain how this matchup could possibly meet your MM requirements:

us: 6 th11, them: 18 in a 20 v 20, their first attack was their 19 two starring (86%) our 6 with a max warden lvl 30 aq qw

Said it many times and don't know if supercell read this thread but there's no way th11s with max troops ( bowlers, healers, dragons, hounds, loons) should be matched up against th10s of any level. It's a complete mismatch. As a th10 I'd love it if we were matched up against th9s every war. Don't care whether there's Eagles, infernos etc etc, the th11 attacking troops are way overpowered for a th10 to defend against.
