Clan War Matchmaking Improvements

We are:


No1. TH11. Maxed TH10; purchased TH11 pack so level 1 Eagle. Warden up to level3, 4th xbow up to level2, archer tower, wizard tower and cannon coming along well. No TH11 lab upgrades. Heroes 35/32.


No2. TH10. Near max defence. Max troops. Heroes 31/32.


No3. TH10. Mainly Th9 defence suffice 3rd xbow at level3, 2 x level2 infernos. 240 camp. 4x troop upgrades including Bowlers. freeze level3. Heroes. 30/31.


No4. TH9. Max def/troops. Heroes 21/22.


No5. TH9. Good defence. Max troops. Heroes 18/17.


No6. TH9. Low/medium defence. Very good troops. Heroes 10/10.


No7. Near max TH8.


No8. Near max TH8.


No9. Near max TH8 but low king and lower troops.


No10. Medium to low TH8.






They are:


No1. TH11. Mainly max defence but low walls. Level 1 Eagle. Level 12 warden. Heroes 14/16. Mainly max troops suffice baby drag, pekka and Minion.


No2. TH11. Mainly max defence but no Eagle, level 3 infernos. Level7 Warden. Heroes 15/25. Majority TH10 troops suffice max archers, Valkyrie and high freeze.


No3. TH10. Mainly max defence but low walls. Heroes 15/18. Mainly max offense.


No4. TH11. Defence max TH10 but low walls. Heroes 15/12. Warden level 6. All max air troops!


No5 and 6 medium TH9


No7. Near max TH8.


No8. Semi engineered TH9 but mainly low troops/defence no Queen.


No9. Medium TH7.


No10. Semi engineered TH8.

Last 3 wars have been fairly 'even' matches. This war we are running:
7 mid defense th10s (heroes are 15-25)
9 mid-max defense th9s (highest hero is 20)
2 TH8
1 TH7
1 TH6

This war the other clan does have a TH11, but it is badly rushed (TH8 war troops , no queen, no GW - mostly TH7 level defenses). But still what appears to be an even match up.

The uneven match ups appear more often when we include the Th10s with high level heroes. Starting one tonight with higher heroes.

This is the truth right here. Finally someone who understands it.

And super cell sits on their hands, and keeps saying they're making adjustments.. Yet I keep getting completely unwinnable wars.. Kills morale.. Because it's all about the gemming 6 th11s with at least max troops of the attack they used matched vs 10s and 9s....more eagles.. More Infernos.. Sure it's balanced

Hey greenbear.

I can't see how that's a crippling mismatch personally.

I do know they are very much still happening, and a pain, but from the detail provided there, I'm not honestly seeing the problem in that war right there.

I think the war will be won or lost on who can 3* #3. Don't think either side can 3 any higher.

Therein lies the difficulty for players and SC in defining 'mismatch'.
Both teams here can realistically, with nothing exceptional, reach minimum 3 stars from max, with a winner determined either by % or that 3* on #3.

I will not spend ANY money on Clash of Clans until you either:
1. Make meaningful improvements to clan war matchmaking that address engineered bases to the satisfaction of non-engineered players, OR
2. Publish the clan war matchmaking algorithm, which is nothing more than the basic rules of the game, so that players have a fair chance to play on a level playing field.

Yes Aderiler, that was one of the un-published changes that the powers that be decided to make. Then, when you cannot believe it and figure it is typical stupid Super Cell mistake they will give you an "..........", and then other mods will actually type out an untruth regarding this on the forum intentionally lying about it. AND then when you pm them about it, they conveniently will not "get" that pm and then when you re-send it twice they will just ignore you. At least, this is the rumor that I may or may not have personal first-hand info about.

They already did #1. Since the update nearly all our wars have been competitive. Yes, we got 2 heavily engineered matchups and had no shot. But that's a dramatic improvement from before (and maybe 10-12 fair wars something like that) and my clan is able to string together decent wins (we are casual).

No shot at #2, ever. No reason to hand the keys of the game to engineers.

Welp my team ( Men Of STandard ) Finally got a even war search yesterday. ( Well they have one more TH10 then us. 10 v10) Were a near 40 member team doing 10 v 10. Why?? Cause are the 10 s ( including me ) and 11 sat out to try to break this 4 game loosing streak. We're not loosing cause of the other teams skills. Were being out matched by engineer and advantage seeking teams. More than builder base, more than any other thing I and my team of 40 members ask that Supercell correct this issue. And again as I've said in previous post. If they want to be a engineer th11. Match them up with a legit th11 that's what they are right ?? A th11?? Or are they building th11s with the weight of A 9 but still able to take out a th11 or 3 star a TH10 ..but we call it engineer... Or creativity, I know what I call it but since I got flagged I can't say it. But Advantage seekers ruin a other wise great game. Math them again each other in my opinion and if u can't penalize them ( advantage seekers) not the people who fully upgrade and in some cases spend cash. Hope some of the U tubers address this also. Help super cell.

It isn't the truth. It is inaccurate. A good engineered base doesn't cost any more gems than a good maxed out base. In some ways, the best engineered bases are actually easier to make than a maxed out base. Now, that is not to say there aren't engineers who spend money on this game. There are engineers who gem a lot just like any other player. Additionally, that is not to say SC isn't worried about them quitting. It would make sense that SC is trying to balance keeping players on one side happy while also keeping players on another side happy, or at least playing. But, to say engineering requires a lot of gemming is....just...plain...wrong.
