The only thing that works is that we are engineered and get engineered opponents (and that's good!) but we shouldn't get opponents that have stronger offense AND defense. :facepalm:

The search took about an hour I think.

The problem is probably roster engineering. They have 16 defenseless/low defense accounts at the bottom and we have "only" 9.

I think you need to ask yourself how many roster engineering clans that also have engineered bases of roughly the same overall offence and defence weight of you clan might be out there searching at the same time as you. We can only match from the pool of others out there to be matched that the time we searched. People running an odd or extreme lineup are finding they can go days without matching - so it might be better to be glad it found you a comparable clan with only a slight top difference so quickly.

In addition, there are lots of clans out there that don’t engineer where th10s match much bigger 11s, and clans face enemies with stronger offence and defence. It’s happening a lot right now and the latest tweaks were addressed at that I believe. But even if those tweaks succeed you’d be back to that first problem of finding anything relevantly similar anyway. Perhaps it’s time to question the wisdom of putting a .5 at the top of the roster, much less a rushed one.

I would rather wait 3 or 4 hours to get a better match ... and it's not a slight difference imo. A max th11 can crush a mid th10 with eyes closed and it will be more difficult to 3 star their max th10.75 without max heroes.

We tried a few (smaller) wars without defenseless at the bottom and got 3 max th11 against our 1 max th11 and two th10 at the top. I think the problem is not that we use defenseless accounts ... it's that we don't use enough of them. :unsure:

I don't want to drop my ea because my other defenses are still too weak ... and will opt out of war for about 4 months to catch up.

I'm not sure about the odd lineup statement. Sometimes we will send one of our less favorite family accounts to some nice kid in global's clan that needs just 1 more for war. We have seen some pretty odd combos that get near perfect matches in a short time. I still remember this one lineup. He took our 9 (healthy lower mid), 2 rushed, and the rest th6s. I'm sitting there laughing as he is doing the search not knowing what kind of lineup will happen. In a short time (15 min I think), there was a near perfect match. We hadn't had a match that good in I don't know when.

From what I've seen, the low level clans get better match ups. I don't think the coding error is in the basic match coding, but the win/loss (or whatever they call it) coding.

Could be, but I still think its the Royals and troops at 10&11 that is the problem for most.

We just lost a 10v10 war because they had a single th11 at the top with maxed defences, inc heroes and walls, but not including an eagle. We had only th10 as our top 3. Of course we lost because we couldn't clear the th11, but he did clear our top two. Everything else spun from there and we lost by a star. We were never going to win.

funny thing is, the previous war we had a th11 at the top and they had none. Same thing happened in reverse. They were never going to win.

it seems to be a blind spot in the mm algorithum. Putting an untouchable account at the top spoils the whole war in terms of potential outcome. The war just becomes a drudgery to win or lose depending if you have the biggest guy.

In in this latest war, we weren't helped by the fact that they had a totally engineered th11 also. One cannon, max miners and bowlers. Mid heroes including warden.

the mm ain't fixed, THATS for sure.

This TH11 disparity is a very common theme of complaint these days. :thumbsup:

He isn't top of the roster, I am with fully max defenses. His point was we are pretty much outmatched across the board (top half). The problem with this match is the same thing I see time and time again. Roster engineering. Whether it is intentional or not, them having a weak bottom half gives them a noticeable edge on the top half. This is, and always has been, the biggest flaw with MM in my opinion.

Looks like ♥♥♥ (♥♥♥♥♥ they censored SC writen with $ instead of S XD) changed algorithm in favor of engineers because they spend most gems among all. Coincidence? Yeah right. I saw too much to say that. This company greed has no limit.

I can see if you only do upper level wars how you could see that. We do upper level wars and "baby wars". There are no queens or wardens involved and obviously no 10-11 troops and still have problems when it is just the little guys.

I hope people will leave clash to make supercell reacting... Since 1 month, wars are so unbalanced.

No engineered in our side, 3 TH10, 7 TH9, not maxed.... and again, last war, in front of us 5 TH11 (position 1-2-3-6-9-10), all with 3 heroes, most of them with max troops...
Is it really fair now ?? We were never having these problems before scraping matchmaking.
It is common now...

People in our clans stop making wars cause becoming not interesting now. From 25 we are now only 10 greens.
And I will stop if it is still so scrappy...

Perhaps if all users engineer their bases it will be easier ?? That's what we are thinking to do....

New matchmaking encourages engineering...
