Our 2nd matchup with same lineup:
Us:
4 th10s, 3 th9s, 3 th8s.
Them:
4 th10s, 1 th9, 1 th11 (max drags loons, lv 15 warden), 2 th8s, 1 th7, 1 th5.

I represent Men Of Standard a solid mostly non rushed team. 15 person war we have 1 th11 and 3 th10s they have 2 th11 ( one max) and 7 the 10s there th10 s have one thing in there favor. They have a troop advantage over are th9s. My team is burning out over constant match ups like this. Win or lose it's tough to overcome. I can't us my original word ( don't want to get flagged) but I'll say this. Being match up against ADVANTAGE SEEKERS is not fun. Instead of giving us new builder bases I hope Supercell comes back to the heart of the game soon and rework the algorithm problems. Then move on. A total fix no. But a improvement this next update would be welcomed. The engineer bases don't really spend cash on this game. They don't have to. Those who Max out .. I bet at some point have. Help. Us Supercell.. :)
okay gotcha, lol! i figured that was the case, was just curious, thank you very much!
Whatever you do, though, don't go on a winning streak, or else the war mm will pit you against yet another engineered clan. I speak from experience. 30v30 war ... their #28 and #29 were th11s. You can suck it, SC.
my suggestion to sc would be display war lineup based on the addition of offensive and defensive power of a base, currently war lineup is only displayed based on defensive power, that's why defenseless th11 with max heros and a couple max troops lies at the bottom of war lineup, it's a good idea.
But i think it is more important that SC can figure out a way to calculate how much offensive power should be matched up against a certain level of defense, because defenseless th11 with max heros and troop can 3 star any th9 and almost all th10, but at the same time it can be easily 3 starred by those th9 and th10 too, then all wars will be 100% ties in that way. the challenge is what base should be a decent match up with a defenseless th11, is matching a max th10 with it fair? because it might give a defenseless th11 a challenge to 3 star, but on the other end max th10 can easily 3 star defenseless th11 or th11 with below th9 defense, these are hard questions to answer, but i believe if SC wants to discourage engineering, they could do that, but again is it fair, hard to say. But since SC is not doing that, it means they are not trying to totally eliminate engineering, so to me engineering will still be the future of wars, let's see
Yes I agree. First they can 3 star any TH10. If not they aren't good. TH11 can stomp TH10 all day. The problem with defenseless TH11's with Max Heroes and troops is they give the enemy clan another shot at 2 starring any TH11's. I think defenseless bases should be nerfed by accounting for their offensive power because if engineering thought us anything it is that Offensive Power wins wars!
It is even easier then that... without drastically affecting the game and giving some fairness to wars, the solution is incredibly simple...
Make each Townhalls war weight start at TH-1 max weight. After said TH makes things beyond previous max TH can make does it increase.
Incredibly simple, still allows for tweaking within the same townhall for perfectly acceptable slight advantages .5s give etc. It hurts rushers A LITTLE but not overly much, easily recoverable. And it doesn't force maxing, just weighs bases appropriately for their ability to wage war. Is it absolutely perfect? No... but it is vastly superior to what we have and sounds pretty easy to code.
They still have a long way to go. War weight is mismatched as it is, and has been since the October 2016 update. Too much is based on defence, and not enough on offence & heroes. 50/50 defence/offence was and is the fairest calculation. players who have 20+ hours a week invested can be equalled or bettered by those who can afford to buy a war base. We have a lot of serious, but fun clashers in our clan many together for years. But with many being mid level TH's , we are and have been severely disadvantaged 9 out of 10 wars consistently . Being so, enough is enough, I have decided to retire from war as I am not ditching my clanmates, just to find a "winning clan" . Better, fairer games out there, just going to have to look for one if the war weight balancing is not rectified
My theory (purely conjecture) is that SC put in an engine (like the events 'engine') so they can continuously tweak the MM algorithm. The first match after the change took 90+ minutes. Subsequent matches are in the 30 minute range. First match was ridiculously uneven, subsequent matches were more fair. Might just be circumstance though. Anyone else seeing incrementally closer matches?
And I don't get the complaints about losing on percentage... how do you get closer than that, match-wise?
We just finished a war, got beat 85-80 by a clan with a 15 win streak, and had 18 TH11s compared to our 11 TH11s. Where is that matchmakng algorithm fix SC? Sorry, but that's too much mismatch. They had several 9.75s (TH11s without infernos or EA) but with the extra TH11 weapons and max TH11 walls. We have NO 9.75s. Come on SC, how wide are your parameters? Match them up with their kind, not our kind.
Max Th11 bowlers, miners, witches, and loons, should get much more war weight than they do now. These troops are way more powerful than their TH10 maxes.
