I highly doubt it, that was old school engineering and one of the reasons for the original change to the War MM.

Agree...I don't think we'll see that type of engineering. However I'm not sure how this will address roster engineering (stacking the lower half or lower third of the roster with TH3s).

Personally we can't knock this guy for his honesty and his reaction.Its his job to stay one step ahead.Now whilst I'm against engineering as it has proved to be a unfair advantage it remains super cells job to then counteract and take a leap to show fairness and out wit this guy.We can't knock him.Its his opinion.For me he was brave to of even started a thread in this fashion.Maybe it might encourage more engineers to post their thoughts.Yeah we all hate them but their human.Its human nature to do what they do.Give the guy a break and perhaps wait for some more insight from others in his predicament rather than hating.Hate on me too but all I've done is standby a guy and his opinion.

This is the $60,000 question! As I see it, the pool of clans looking for wars has already shrunk. In response, SC eliminated 35 and 45 size wars. Now they are shrinking the pool again by creating a new item of differentiation, instead of simply correcting the existing items of differentiation. That is not likely to help.

As an example, our last war was a terrible mismatch against a highly engineered clan. We fielded a bell-curve breakdown of 3 TH9s, 9 TH8s and 3 TH7s. They had a TH11, 2 TH10s and 4 TH9s (the rest were TH8 and below). It took one hour to get that match. My rough understanding of the current system is that it searches for an opponent. If one is not found within 30 minutes, it widens the search by one standard deviation per criteria. It repeats that process every 30 minutes, gradually widening the parameters, until a match is found. If we assign numerical values to the level of engineering each clan had, ours might be a '1' and theirs might be an '8'. This implies that it would take 7 standard deviations for that clan to come into our search pool. This is therefore highly unlikely to happen. Well before that, it would find a 'similar play style' clan with 6 or fewer standard deviations in areas such as war weight and recent performance. We could still get a very bad mismatch, just not with an engineered clan. Instead we would get another maxer clan with a significant weight disparity. Is that better?

yes the issue is low total weight. It was already taken into account so this message giving no specifics isn't much comfort.

No it's not your fault the game has flaws, but it is your fault if you are no good, practice your attacks and improve.
I can honestly say I've never seen anyone get mad and cry about losing to a clan that has to take advantage of a flaw in matchmaking, plenty of people have probably felt sorry for them, because they can't win in a balanced match up.

Why don't you come back here, two or three wars after the new matchmaking system has been introduced and you are facing people who are better at taking advantage of the matchmaking than you and see who is getting mad and crying then.

Enjoy your wars against other engineers, I'm sure it will be huge amounts of fun getting 100% damage draws all the time.

winning streak isnt and will not be an important parameter, imo. they can always widen the search on such parameters, no prob.

unique builds? 1 th11 and 49 th3s? such a clan deserves to wait forever, really.

i bet, most clans arent "unique" at all, your question is just a theoretical one, imo
