Just got the worst match up I've ever seen in our clan. 25 man war, we run max and .5 accounts. Th11-th8. We have 13 th11, other clan has 23 lol.

Offense is about the same. Some of their other defenses are also stronger but that's not a problem.
In our current war, it's 0 EA vs 1 EA. Our opponent is roster engineering with a TH4 base and other low bases in their lineup for our guys to attack. We have lost 4 wars in a row to engineered clans and our core group has left the clan. We barely have enough players right now for 10 vs 10 war.
I left my TH11 out of this war to get an easier matchup :p
We just won war 54-50 against the same level (10) clan but they had about 20% more 'wins.'. We might have lost if they had all attacked. Last few wars seemed pretty fair to me - last 2 were fair enough (lost one and won one)... BUT if we play more than 2 TH11s all bets are off matchup wise. We had one war several wars ago matchup vs a level 14 clan with 300% more wins... I look at those as opportunities to try new attacks.:smirk:
I've been giving the benefit of the doubt since the update, as we've had some rushed/engineered bases in some searches that might have thrown off the algorithm, but this war matchup is ridiculous! We've got 3 early Th 10s, 5 Th 9s and 2 Th 8s, only a couple of the 9a are slightly rushed and none are engineered. I did this search and chose those bases to give the least possible chance of a bad matchup, as all are reasonably balanced bases. The result? They have 5 Th 9s, 4 Th 11s and a Th 3! Three of the 11s have wardens, all have 4 max ad, and 3 have max troops. Seriously? This is 'improved' matchmaking?
#9PUV09P8 is my clan tag if an admin would like to come look at the matchup themselves. We're still going to fight the war because that's who we are, but this matchup is extremely demoralizing.
Since the last update to, at least partially, "fix" engineered clans being matched with clans far weaker offence, I have had to complain to sc again and again about our match ups. Pre update, once in a while we'd get a clan that was heavily engineered. Post update, it's been every match. And I am in two clans. the latest? Our 3 th11 versus their 11 th11 in a 20 V war.
its not just that they get multiple goes at hitting our top guys, while we get far far fewer. Up to their 9, they don't have a single base with anything more than a single cannon. That's 11 bases. How much fun is it to clear bases like that? Precisely none. So we don't have fun then we lose. Oh, did I mention they have two lvl2 EA while we have one lvl1?
the biggest improvement they could quickly do to the mm, is to roll back whatever change they made in the last one.
Meh. We just sent a bunch of our th10s off to th11 wonder land. See how it sorts out with 5 new grand wardens. Thanks Supercell for the kick we needed to get this done, and enjoy our gems.
Only 1 reasonable matchup since the update here. We just fought another mismatch. Our 1 th11 to their 4 th11's. If that's not insult enough to injury, they used nothing more than miner spam. Way to go sc, you're now making it the anti strategy game too by encouraging this ♥♥♥♥. My near max th10 held the garbage off and we are gonna claim a victory but, it sucks to see the win bonuses take a serious nose dive because they have junk accounts defensively and big offense.
Your stats should be showing an increase in 100% draws thanks to this. Oh wait, that's the other thing they didn't want. A tie should not happen often in a percentage game. Pfffff.
Unfortunately I think this will result in many casual maxers to quit warring/playing and that will make the rest meet even more engineered clans.
We were promised that we would be more likely to meet opponents that were similar to us and had the same play style. I don't see that happening. It seems this was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of casual players maxing their bases, that had high hopes for the changes that was promised.
