Clan War Matchmaking Improvements

I have a theory about this:

1. Players complain about matchmaking.
2. Supercell get sick of people complaining about matchmaking.
3. Supercell make changes to matchmaking to purposely make it even worse than before.
4. Supercell leave this matchmaking in place for a few weeks.
5. Supercell make announcement that they have listened to feedback and will make adjustments.
6. Supercell revert matchmaking back to the old matchmaking system.
7. People praise supercell for making such good improvements.
8. Supercell are heroes now and no more complaints.

War matchmaking has been a (sick) joke for a long time. New logic seems not to have helped. We've quit wars and won't be warring again unless and until it's properly fixed. There's just no fun in it when engineered and lopsided matches make the result inevitable.

Our current war... 20 vs 20.
We have 3 Th11. Heroes: (40,43,14 - max troops; 37,40,1 - new TH11 - no max th11 troops; 19,18,9 - max dragons)
They have 5 TH11. (42,45,20 - max troops; 28,37,20 - max troops; 35,40,10 - max bowlers, witches & loons; 45,45,20 - max troops; 45,43,11 - no max troops)

We have 7 th10, they have 3 th10.

I think that war is already lost for us.

Ex-system was perfect for a competitive war spirit and Gaming enviroment. New mm, war roster is like a system default formula, If you want to have your own playstyle, you are potentially wasting time to search an opponent that never exist in war pool. However, If you are staying with the regular war roster, will be just tough and mismatching wars constantly back to back. What a new game grind after this improvement.

Before: Suit for both competitive gamers and casual players.
After : Suit for small group of war haters which they been striving this game spoiler by huge randomly complains. But sc listend in.

This game is becoming not what we signed for in the beginning anymore.

I have only had 2 wars since the latest change but they have both been fair fast draws with no engineers in sight.
So far I like the changes. Thank you SC

All this because they don't want to upset the people who exploit the matchmaking system. Assuming this is because a lot of these people spend/spent gems to get their engineered/defenseless bases. Surely these people will throw down a few more gems to get their defenses up if the defenseless bases are nerfed. Such a short-term money making strategy to allow this current system to continue. If this continues it will surely result in the game dying much much sooner than if they nerf the engineered/defenseless bases. From the feedback on here there are a lot of people who are done with wars and since wars are the heart of the game, they will soon be done with the game all together. My clan usually has about 20% of people opted out of wars, usually because of hero upgrades. Currently, we have close to 60% of people opted out. Whatever these recent 'improvements' were, they aren't working and only seem to have benefitted the exploiters.

This is if you suppose that SC know what they do?
Personnally I think that they simply don't know how to solve it

looks like the new matchmaking is trying to match engineered clans against other engineered clans... with as a result that the most engineered ones will win easily.

I don't really consider my clan as engineered, but I do recommend people to wait before building their infernos at TH10 or EA at TH11. Better build other defenses first and work on their offenses, and put those at the end of their TH. Looks like the new MM is considering us as engineered, so they matched us against another engineered clan. Which would be ok if we were really looking at another clan with the same playstyle, but this is very far from being the case.

We had 2 TH11 (fully maxed) + 2 TH10.5 at the top, they also had 2 TH11 (fully maxed) + a load of TH9.75 with 45/45/20 heroes (up to their number 17 on a 20vs20 war). No way we could do anything against a clan that will attack all of our TH9 with maxed TH11 troops and heroes, while our TH9 or TH10 had no chance to 3* their maxed TH11 bases, even if they had no EA or infernos.

This new MM is a stupid move, I can't even imagine how it has been tested.

Globally, if you want to engineer your clan, do it at the extreme and you'll continue to win wars.

Now please say why you think I am wrong. Because nothing you said requires clans to be split into multiple pots.
