You use the newspaper to buy items you need. You will find that some items show up very rarely (cream, sugar, expansion tools) and others more frequently (wheat, eggs, and popcorn). You will have to be fast to get the rare items. Some items are so frequent some people dont feel the need to make them. I for example never collect my own eggs or wheat and rarely make popcorn. You can also look for items that ard marked below max price and sell them again to make coin. The RSS is also going to be a good feature for you to use to make coin. You can sell your products there a full price and they will always eventually sell.
Hope this helps some :)
Oh and you should also check the new to hay day subforum and hay day wikia for more tips on game play.
First of all, welcome fellow Clasher to the HD subforum.
Since you've just begun playing HD, I suggest you look at the newspaper but resist the temptation to buy impulsively if you can harvest the crop or make the product yourself.
When I was a low level farmer like you, I sold more items in my shop more often than buying them from the newspaper. That's the path I chose to have fun. You are free to find one which suits your playing style.
I did your selling then buying thing and now i have 2k coin with all level 8 buildings.Quote:

Well done! Keep doing it that way and you won't get in trouble with coins (as many low level players do!) :)
As I found out the newspaper can be quite addictive. Mind it took me two weeks to even acknowledge it's there but now I cannot keep out of the damned thing. :smirk:
Do be be careful of impulse buys and keep hopping around from ship to shop to get premium items. Even when the ad says 'eggs' , chances are there are other items on sale as well. Sometimes it also pays waiting around a little while in a shop to see if people put out more items and then you can pounce on them straight away.
Wheat and eggs and some other staples are always to be had, but do mind the prices....wheat can be 36 coin or 1 coin... a little shopping around can save a lot of coin.
With my own shop, I tend to load up all the slots before I do the one that gets advertised, which I try to make an enticing item to lure people into the shop. When they arrive they will find all the shelves full with goodies, if you reload as people are buying it ...you can make quite a bit of money in a short space of time.
I've recently started too OP, don't worry if you run out of coin or whatever ( everything can be replenished) with a bit of practice you will get a good rhythm going and soon get the swing of tings. Once you are lv18 you can join a neighbourhood which will make things all a little it easier.
Sell, sell, sell. do not buy. That way you will always have enough coins, and will learn effective resource management
At level 7 best advice is KEEP ALL YOUR MACHINES WORKING ALL THE TIME. You need to evaluate your HD play time frame....how often do you play, every 15 minutes? Every hour? A couple of times a day? Match your crop growth to your time frame and keep growing that crop.....don't grow wheat or corn...too much of that. They don't sell for full price...carrots are good and soy and sugar cane....match crop to your time frame....then keep those fields growing. Make animal feed and sell off your products at full price. Try to find a friend or family who plays as well and is higher level than you...they can usually pass you upgrade items for barn and silo....if so, expand them as much as possible early. I bought the 4000 diamond pack on sale once. I used diamonds to expand all production spots on every machine but DON'T.....I MEAN NEVER....use diamonds to complete crops or production items...use only to expand production slots as you purchase machines. You will never regret that purchase.
