what do you mean looks better? is it the stone paver area or garden trellis / arch with vines on it over the gate to that area by the bird house? you get those for completing the donation achievements. maybe they haven't completed them and you have?
I just complete that achievement an hour ago thats for pointing that out shady. :)
Edit: Yep mine looks like the one Wussy posted.
Here is a fully upgraded one, not mine!

Fascinating. I don't understand the social stigma attached with using the Neighborhood Trading Post (NTC) because I see it as another avenue to ask for help in addition to boats and plant revivals.
Several months ago, my supply of axes and saws was dipping below 20 so I used the NTC to ask for them daily until my supply reached above 50. In exchange, I was donating blankets, jams, jewelry, and pillows.
I pride myself on managing my silo well but last week, I was shocked to find 3 tomatoes on hand and none in the fields. I couldn't find any in the paper after several hours so I used the NTC to ask for tomatoes several times to plant and replenish my stock of tomatoes. My precious. :)
Even a self sufficient farmer as me needs a safety net so thank you to my hoodmates and the NTC.
