An interesting observation about followers...!!

Firstly, apologies to all my GC friends, and my "loyal" followers... For wasting your time visiting my RSS at the moment, and currently finding the shelves are bare...!! lol.

Yesterday, I decided to go for the Citizen Kane achievement big time, so starting chucking in advertisements as quickly and as rapidly as is possible into the old DD... My shop totally emptied and my follower count went quite high, as you would expect... What my strategy is now, is to fill just a few crates, (some of you might be wondering why, hence the explanation) up to maybe a dozen or so, (if that) to carry on getting my ad count up towards completing the achievement as quick as possible... Over the course of this morning, my follower count has now dropped to only 18... That is the part which is "interesting"...??? Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible... lol. About a week or so I reckon.

So there you have it... No deleting necessary if you suffer from raiders...!!! Just stop selling stuff and they disappear...

that sounds like a good idea, I'll have to try it. I don't place a lot of ads...except for the accidental ones:p So my Citizen Kane III is going to take quite a while to achieve...I'm at 191/2000...:cool:

The only ads I place are accidental too. I have been thinking about giving it a go but like you Jess it will take a while. Perhaps the next newspaper event??:)

I am hoping to put in between 50 - 100 ads per day...?? At that rate, with just under 500 needed, I should complete the achievement in about a week... I should have done what the missus did, and started much, much earlier on in the game. She got this achievement months ago... Therein lies a good tip for low level players.. lol.

I have 7 followers. Yep 7. They are great. I do have a suspicion that 2 don't play anymore but I leave them there because who wants to be on lvl 71 and say "I have 5 followers" Pathetic. LOL

i haven't had alot in my shop because I'm trying to get the patronage III . Oops I shouldn't have held the little people hostage for so long. Only 1655 more sales to go. Yippee!

Well, I've been away for a week and I still have 108 followers! Down from 118. I suspect I have a lot of non playing farmers but have deleted some since the new feature came in on the upgrade.

If you want to work on Citizen Kane but don't want to collect so many followers you could also sell some of the less popular stuff. Just place an ad for 10 wheat and don't sell the so-called premium goodies.

Luckily there is the possibility to delete followers too if you don't like to have many followers. :D

My followers come and go, but there are 3 or 4 that stay :D Wish we could see right on the followers tab that they need help :) Citizen Kane will take me forever, good luck Boroyob, you are well on your way! :)
