Hey HDers, noob Hay Day guy and just finished mt first boat order. Every boat that has come to my dock I have sent away because the order was unreasonable for me to finish but...today I had a managable order and stayed active to fill it. Super disappointed about the payoff though, am I missing something?...I need gold not experience points. If I am too dumb to see the point of filling boat orders, please kindly tell me.

Thanks wussypuss, my neighborhood is dead so getting help is a no go��. And vouchers let me buy animals that also only produce exp points? Pets have no value that I can see other than exp points or again...am I missing something?

maybe I need to clarify, I have a TH11 on clash so get the long term grind thing but exp has no value on Clash so that is my current mindset, is Hay Day diff...does exp mean something?
Hay Day is quite relaxed! There is no hurry to do anything. You can come and go as you please. You can come back after 1 day, a week an month a year and it will be as you left it.
Pets give you valuable expansion materials when you feed them (and they are cute).
If your hood is unsatisfactory, find another. It can take a few tries to find the right fit.
Experience points allow you to level up and get more options available to you. It is not a bad thing, but you need to have enough coin to buy the next production machine. Early on, it is good to level up quickly, but now that you are level 20'ish (?) just make and sell.

Thanks for that link:thumbsup: But to go back to my earlier point, does exp mean anything on Hay Day? I recognize it allows you to unlock new items n areas but since I currently have the fishing boat, fruit press and like 4 smelters to unlock without having the gold to do it, the ability to unlock stuff doesn't mean much. Am I wasting my time doing boat orders? And if so, what areas should I concentrate on?

Fishing can get you many diamonds early on, so I really liked fishing.
Some people love shopping in the newspaper (aka Daily Dirt)
Mining can get you diamonds too, especially with shovels.
Keep your machines running as much as possible and sell what you make.
Nothing is a waste of time here ;)
Experience is something that you can let happen. Just go for earning coin and doing what you like.
Pets have value for farmers at all levels because when awoken, pets give us tools to expand our barns and silos and unlock lands.Quote:

Doing boats isn't a complete waste of time but if you need coin i would focus on making products 24/7 then selling them at max. Also buy all the trees you can then sell all the fruit. Pets wont get you coin but they can get you expansion materials which are nesscary that early in the game. Just make sure you do plenty of wheating so that you have saw/axes to cut the trees down. :)
Experience is nice as you are able to acquire machines, and once you have them all at max capacity, it is a wonder to see! But one should not hurry specially in early and middle levels, when machines come fairly quickly and cost a fortune. During that time the best thing is to sell, sell and sell. You can make products and sell, or better yet plant and sell. Soy beans sell very well indeed and you can make a lot of cash relatively quickly. Popcorn sell very well too, as it is recquired in great quantities by boats. But all in all, Hayday is a relaxing game, to find what is satisfactory for you is a good first goal.
