You are the one turning it into a competition, she's just playing the game how she wants to play it, for her that IS fun. Stop worrying about what others are doing & just play how you want to.
Why did you start two threads about this?
I bet you exhaust your poor parents!

Maybe she's spending Grandma's birthday money on diamonds? Hay Day's like other solo sports, like weight training: you're only in competition with yourself. Join a different neighborhood if she bugs you that much.

Once somebody said in this forum, hayday is not a speed race, but a marathon. Find your rythm and you will last longer and have more fun in the bargain :)

Hay Day is such that there are many ways you can play it. Some like the long term goal strategy such as maximizing on a double xp event. Others like the friendly social aspect, the cute and funny, the place of serenity. Etc etc.
Focus on whatever way Hay Day is enjoyable for you and leave others to do the same. There's just no point in being upset that others play differently than you.
Happy Farming.

As other have mentioned, there are so many angles to play this game (as with most games). Also, as with most games, in-game purchases offer some advantage to those willing to spend (time reductions, abilities, etc). Being someone who has played many mobile games, I can honestly say that this is one game you really don't have to spend on to succeed. I know players who don't spend because for them, that is their challenge. Others find enjoyment in completing their fishing book - which is something I personally don't bother to pay much attention to.
It really is about finding your own playing style. I love running my farm like it is a pretend business. You will see I tend to get a bit crazy with using spreadsheets for finding profit margins, identifying trends, etc. For the last 2x coin visitor event, I tracked every visitor encounter, what they wanted and offered, what the profit margins were, and so forth - then evaluated the data the next day. I am a bit bummed I didn't track the quantity requested to quantity on hand - so that will be ready for the next one XD. On the opposite side of the spectrum, my wife just likes to play and find stuff in the paper.
