Is there a stronger farming clan than Exploitation?

I ask this in all seriousness. I often use this as a recruiting point and I want to make sure I'm not lying. Since there is no leaderboard for farming clans it's not as easy to gauge. When I judge strength it's by the average base strength of a clans members. Not on total number of people in the clan. I've tried to find stronger farming clans in game and on the forums but haven't yet...so I'm throwing it out to you guys. Though I guess it all depends on what you look for in a clan right? It would be cool if there was some type of farming clan leader board..like maybe most gold raided per clan.

When looking for a clan you need to look for a community that suites you. Don't gauge by 'strength'. :)

What about Farming4Gold?

They are definitely active and seem "fun" but I've checked them out...and I mean absolutely no offense..but they still have some work to do. I've checked out all the obvious competition

I was a really goin to suggest them. When I was farming sub 200 they were the only one(Order of Thieves) that gave us a run for our money. However they still didn't fully match up then. Perhaps they have improved...still very strong though. No doubt about that

You say that a farming clan should be judged by the average base strength of clan members, then it's about the culture, then Farming4Gold has work to do. Shrug, no offense taken.

All I can say is we've had many visitors and unequivocally, people have said our culture is amongst the most fun, most humorous chats ever experienced. I guess it would have to be so, for the first clan to fill within two weeks, and the second to fill to hit 42 members within 4 days.

On levels and silly stats like that, or troop donations, we don't care. Our clan members meander between the two clans, so a bunch of level 70s are in the newer clan. And a bunch of 40s are in the original. And, I'll accept a level one farmer who is a funny adult and fun to be with.

We do not have a level distinction a la main vs. feeder system, as its by definition a misnomer for farming clans. It's like that fella asking for a farming clan and mentioning his trophy level on these Boards. Further, any farmer clan that sub-divides its members by level is exhibiting a style and culture that is anathema to us. Again, no offense intended... For example, the other day, a level 75 fella came in and wanted to "try us out" then squawked about level 2 troop donation. Well, he was kicked and his many re-applications have been ignored. Level snobs are not welcome here.

And this view is equally shared by our members who have level 100+ alts. They just want to park here sometimes and just chill out from the trophy grind. And, they always treat the level 20s with the respect they are due, else the level 100+, and their alts, would be kicked.

Said another way, a farmer who emphasizes level so much is acting rather oddly, similar to focusing on trophies as a farmer. I farmed solo, all by myself, in my own clan with no members, for months. The only reason for the Farming4 family is the company you wish to share your time with, as you farm. If you are excessively relying on CC troops for attacking, I question whether you are truly "farming". And if you need CC troops for defense so much, then the core defense needs work. Our members request troops, albeit rarely, and they are filled very quickly, but it's a lesser priority than farming and sharing company.

There is more than one way to skin a cat Illustris. The point of this thread was to ask a simple question... one which djemerson13 answered quite well. You on the other hand are turning it into a pissing contest which is rather disappointing.

Sorry I fell asleep reading Illustris's massive off topic post. You should go post in a thread called "what makes a good clan".

The question was simple, who are the strongest farming clans.

It's hard to judge strength when u take trophies out the equation. You could simplify it by saying the higher the level the stronger the player but that can be misleading. You get a lot of high level players with ♥♥♥♥ walls and low defences usually because they have maxed useless stuff like mines/collectors, or they are insane donators and have an inflated levels. So it isn't a simple matter determining the strength of a farming clan.

That being said, Iv done a LOT of farming and I know all the main players. In my opinion the top 3, in order, are:

1. Orderofthieves
2. Honour 44
3. Exploitation

However, in exploitation there are no gemmers. I'm not sure the same could be said for the other two. So I dunno if they could be considered pure farming clans.

To be blunt level is not the indicator here... It's wall strength vs # of builders, th level and defensive structures. That's what shows the prowess of a farmer.


I have to say though..I didn't say we are the 'best' clan. I said we are the strongest.

Something is not quite adding up here... If you have players maxing out and going back to the order it means your clan is full of gemmers. And what's with your high level and pink frilly walls facescraper?

I previously said that U guys were the top farming clan, that is probably about right. But I just had a look at ur base and a few other high level players in ur clan and none of you had maxed skull walls? The mark of any good farmer is amazing walls. How can you guys have been playing this game for so long that u are over level 90 but you still have mostly purple (and even some pink!!) walls!?

It smells a bit like gemming..... Or is it just very bad farming?

we've been farming for awhile and we're all high players so we don't have a lot more to upgrade. i'm currently upgrading one xbow to lvl3 and all i have left are a few cannons and tesla's. pretty good without spending any real money. the pink walls are on the backburner. they take 2 wb's the same as purple and black so it's not urgent. lol

This is exactly it...farming prowess is guaged by walls vs everything else....when u factor in that. I'm not so sure that OrderOfThieves does come out on top....

Nope I'm saying our farmers are better because our walls are better compared to everything else...what that shows is how much disposable income you have after upgrades...IE. farming skill...so yes so far I'm not sold that you guys are the 'strongest'

personally, i think the level of a player determines the strength of a player. even donating like a madman to bump your levels, if you're level 80+ you have a lot of weapons upgraded and are therefore a strong player in terms of weapon/defence strength. we all have lvl 5 troops. we all farm the same, with the same crappy matchmaking now so you have to sift through all the ♥♥♥♥ to find the gold. the reason my walls aren't maxxed is because all i focus on is upgrading weapons. purple walls are strong enough to farm with the design i have. sure i'd love black walls but they will come after i max my weapons. couple more weeks, if they don't add anything new for awhile in terms of weapons.

You can only focus on upgrades as much as your builders allow...which is why walls are the best indicator to farming ability.

I think the level of your walls is a direct measurement of how good you are at farming. Maxing your defences costs roughly 200 million, which is similar to the cost of levelling 225 walls up to skull. Therefore if u max ur defences and neglect ur walls you are only half way there. So as a lot of orderofthieves have neglected their walls I agree with serj that they may not be the strongest farming clan. Maybe not even a farming clan at all!

my builders are always upgrading as i'm saving for the next expensive upgrade. i never max out resources unless it's for an upgrade like the lvl3 xbow i got going the other night for 8m. farming isn't what it used to be, they've nerfed us at th9 pretty much. but it's still a lot more fun than chasing trophies.

You should read the OP too. And focus all your energy on the words "farming clan". Order of thieves do not fall under that category I'm afraid... Facescraper has confirmed as much.

Honestly guys the term 'butthurt' is bordering on trolling. I'm trying to debate strength based on math and stats. These emotionally based 'butthurt' attacks do not address the wall strength comparison that i fell is the best indicator we have for farming ability...

Please don't make things up. No one is attacking anyone. The only insults have came from facescraper. In fact I initially stated that orderofthieves was the top farming clan. It wan't until after some discussion and closer inspections of their bases that I started to doubt my original thoughts. Notice I said DOUBT as I'm still not saying definitively who is the strongest. I am simply trying to have a discussion about it. Which is more than I can say for you as none of ur posts seem to be bringing any relevant points to the table.

Somehow the argument now is who is the stronger farming clan in terms of "farming ability" or something? In all seriousness though, serj, wall strength does not determine a players overall strength in this game and you know that you're just too arrogant to accept the truth. You seem to keep clutching to this wall strength thing because it's all you have over us apparently, although i haven't bothered to look through your clan to determine whether or not this is true. Weapon levels are a true guide on someone's overall village strength. You don't win battles because you have black, purple or pink walls. It's what's behind the walls that matters. You aren't a better farmer because your walls are black, you just focused on that instead of what is really important which i feel is weapon upgrades.

Yes I do gauge the strongest farming clan based on proven farming ability...I mean that seems common sense? Here's the truth...you guys have more members who are higher level. Many with stronger defensive structures.. But it seems we have stronger walls for our levels comparatively. That said all things compared you honestly probably are a stronger farming clan when you factor in everything. It's close but because of your numbers I see merit in giving you guys the edge. That's just the truth. I however will take solice in that in appears we have more effective farmers..that doesn't necessarily make us stronger I suppose...

Oh there are 'best' farmers. I for example am a better farmer than you as I have maxed my defences without neglecting my walls. But ur right, that's not the point. The original question was who are the strongest farming clans. I originally i thought orderofthieves, now I'm not so sure but i could definitely see how they could be considered the strongest. They certainly would be based on level alone. I think I'm undecided now.

I also agree that defences are very important when determining strength. However I disagree that walls are not important. I think they are ALSO very important, especially when defending against other farmers. In addition they are a good indication of how good a farmer is, a point u seem unwilling to accept even though it makes perfect sense.

So who is the strongest? I honestly don't know. Good cases could be made for all 3 of the clans mentioned, they would certainly be there or there abouts.

other things come into play on the whole wall scenario man. like how long you were farming, what town hall level etc. i was already TH9 when i dropped cups and the town hall penalty was already in place so grabbing easy loot wasn't really possible like the early days from guys without walls etc. i'm sure most of you were th8 when you were farming which is where you can easily max your walls to black and where i would have if i hadn't started so late. they'll come after the other stuff...

Well I mean supercell updates change everything but I think we all have been farming since well before high th levels...the one thing I'll say. I haven't gained any respect for you guys based on this thread. I would expect a more evenly tempered response from fellow pro farmers. Maybe I stocked emotions too much just because of the topic..but from others who are also so serious about this playstyle. And especially one who feeds such a veteran top 50 clan. I would have thought a well metered response would have been a given.

I know I have nothing to do with this, but when I read the discussion I saw someone say that walls indicate the best farmers. Well, while my opinion may not mather much for you, I think walls mostly indicate who has more free time to play.

Just tought I would express my opinion since I didn't see anyone bring that up.

Best of luck with your clans. Once you get to 40 members, I find it gets easier filling the clans. And try to avoid antagonizing others.

LegacyofShadows split from Rise of Legends and renamed itself Heirs of Avalon (feeders Isle of Avalon, and Wings of Avalon). Rise of Legends renamed itself ARKHAM ASYLUM (feeders ARKHAM CITY and ARKHAM BEACH). By now many of original LeagueOfShadows members have quit, moved on in real life, or have gone elsewhere. far out. i used to be in league in the early days, when darkknight was leader and it was floating around the top10. he quit and geraldjo took over then it slowly collapsed. i take it you're a batman fan also?

How on earth is this subject even measurable? Its not..plain and simple..

I raised a thread a few days ago about taking a bunch of hardcore farmers to see if we could make the Top 50.. This i am sorry to say would be impossible as the Clan would simply implode as illusrated beuatifully within this thread.

And i guess that is how you measure the strength of a clan, farming or not, their ability to function towards a common goal..

If a Clan has fun and achieves its own goals then its a great clan..

Looks to me this thread is getting out of hand. It seems a lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon and not actually bother to understand what Serj was actually asking. The question did not have anything to do with levels or defences. It was pure and simple. Which clan has 'farmed' or looted the most gold therefore making them the strongest farmer?

This is reflective not in players 'levels' (this is deceptive). There is an easy way to answer this question. If only Supercell would let us see how much gold and elixir each player has looted instead of stopping the count at 100m.

Unfortunately, we do not have this log so the other way to be able to answer the question is to look at each player in a clan and figure who has farmed and looted the most and have walls and defenses as maxed as poss for each TH level.

A STRONG Village = Max defenses AND Walls for each TH level.

A strong farmer would have both defences and walls maxed (not one or the other. BOTH) . Thats what makes a strong village. If a village has strong defense but its walls are not up to standard that simply means that the player has not actually farmed or looted enough gold therefore making that person an average farmer not a Strong one.

I think the point of this thread still remains... regardless of who asks for it to be closed. Lets re-cap:

Orderofthieves is NOT a true farming clan because it is full of gemmers.

Honour44 is also NOT a true farming clan because it is full of gemmers.

Exploitation is a true farming clan and has the distinction of being the very first true farming clan.

Deal with it.

Its funny when level 6 walls are said to have the same defense quality with level 8 walls. You should tell that to the goblins who inch their way through over partitioned bases with black walls. The time it takes to blast their way through over level 8 walls compared to level 6 walls differs, and within that difference of time frame,mortars and wizard towers' destruction ability to break your farming army should show you my point.


I dont really mind that my clan being called second or third, what i do mind is when someone says that level is the measure of how strong a player you are. When an argument argues about a strong farming clan, a farmer should at least know that back when farming was gold, many of us farmers went up a level (or two) within a month of farming. Why? Because when we farmed, we didnt go for the town hall. Thus the experience points that we gained were from donations and upgrades (biggest exp contributor).


Why do we farm? Resources. Where do resources go? Upgrades. What are the upgrades? Weapons, troops, and definitely WALLS.


There used to be good real farming clans out there.but the numbers decreased significantly due to their inability to keep the group together. And by real farming clans, i mean the ones that started from scratch.

Now that the super bowl is over and the alcohol has worn off I have had time to think about this thread more. In hindsight it was probably a bad idea to post it. Or at least I should have worded it differently so it did not upset other farming clans so much. That said I still consider it a success. We have brought to the light ideas on measuring something that doesn't currently have any gauge, how strong or effective a farmer is. While it's clearly controversial I still think it's a good conversation to have. We have also thrown names in the ring of other powerful farming clans. Another win, as that's exactly what I wanted to see from the beginning.

However, some people posting here seem to think I'm saying we are better than them. That's not what I mean at all. Every clan has it's strengths and weaknesses. Many farming clans prefer a more casual atmosphere. That is fine and many people look for that in a clan. We are not that clan but it's fine if it's your clan. Some people like a clan that is very competitive and looks for only a certain type of farmer..some don't. It does not make us 'better', it makes us different.

At the end of the day it all depends what you look for in your clan search.

Maybe to end all of this, someone can post the base pictures of all the folks that have posted on this thread. Seems like the easiest way to show. Let the forum decide which base would be the most desirable for a farming defensive layout. It would seem if someone gemmed, they should have a stronger layout. For the non-gemming versus gemming complication, etiher way, post the base pics.

Trophy levels are pointless in discussion for farming. As anyone that farms moves up and down weekly to chase the loot.
Its all about upgrades and asset growth in farming. Levels and cups are completely pointless to bring into this. Last time I checked, there are ton of gemming players that are level 90+ that never achieved a 100,000,000 Gold grab achievement. This is a requirement to join certain farming clans, and would be a clearer indication.

I, like others thought that this post starting out wrong (maybe title wording), but the intent was purely for finding out which group could be the best at FARMING. .. Not Levels, not cups, not giving troops or whatever.. pure asset grabs

Lol I like this post bill. You are exactly right, time is a huge factor. Also we can only take a players word on whether they are/aren't a gemmer.

If you have glassboard than this makes your thread even more shameful. Why the need to post incessantly on the thread in the manner you do. Noone cares that someone in your clan raided someone for 200k. Post that on gb if you want to spam it. 200k raids are everyday stuff in a good farming clan. There's an entire thread in the general forums for those posts. With the way you use your recruitment thread it's no wonder you feel threatened when a top tier farming clan has a thread that is out trending yours.

But it's not much of a fight is it, Djemerson completely imploded (i'll be surprised if he shows his face in here again anytime soon) and Illustris, well... he's not actually saying anything of much substance. I think he just likes to post to be honest.

Um, let's see... OP tries to show his is bigger to try to get a 35th member. People disagree. Sensi, Ro82star, and Serj, all from the same clan, jump on people who says no, you guys are not the best. Remember, there's no real best.

Do you see any of my clan members posting here? It's not the number of people who post, it's the quality of posts. I am asking that they do not, as it's not a pissing match. I'm just trying to gently at first, and then increasingly firmly, showing you the errors in your recruiting method. Positive campaign vs. smearing others... etc, etc.

And thank you for this thread; I had three level 70s-80s join, all from reading this thread, because of what we stand for... vs. what you stand for. Negative comments never win. Try to have some fun, guys, and stop antagonizing others for a 35th member.
