I was attacking with lvl4 troops, yes only lvl4. No clan castle troops. And what count was I maintaining? 2000 trophies, I was sitting at 2020 to be precise. I was top 4000 players, without using gems, and using inferior troops. So surely I must know something about attacking, no?
2nd point, "strengthen your village" my base designs are among some of the more popular, and always effective, especially considering my defenses. So I know how to build a strong village.

Dan... Looks like you put your foot in it again. If you have ONLY spent $15 how is it possible that you have 623 gems after 48 days of farming?
Are Supercell paying you in gems to police the forum or are you just full of ♥♥♥♥.
48 days of farming, but this is all since November 22nd, which is slightly over 2 months for me to accumulate the facts listed belowQuote:

Clearing obstacle, I have cleared slightly over 400 obstacles now (probably 200 since when I began farming) which generate 1.5 gems per obstacle if the rewards have identical opportunities of receiving. That's 300 gems
Math Time
(20*6)+30+(50*2)+250+200+300 (estimate for the obstacles) This comes out to be exactly 1000 gems, meaning that I have spent approximately 370 gems gemming troops (dragons and wizard) for my clan mate, thus leaving me with my current total.
