This thread has been entertaining to say the least. I'd offer my own perspective on engineering but my view on this has already been well represented.

Your idea is very similar to "lets make the weight of a TH the maximum of the one right below it" which has been discussed at length on the forums and rejected over and over.

There are much better solutions that have been proposed by people such as Dorsan, Onyx and NerfedName. I don't have better solutions than them so you should check out their threads.

If you want folks to check out ideas you've read that you liked, some additional info (link, subject heading, rough name of the idea). Otherwise, it strikes me as just saying "other people have better ideas than yours" [in your opinion]. That's not very constructive.

Don't bother with that guy. He clearly has no idea what he's talking about. The dude even said attacking doesn't matter....LOL. Obviously he's never been involved in any competitive, arranged wars where skill determines the outcome, not a lopsided match up.

I certainly agree that it is pointless to try and have an intelligent debate with someone incapable of such discourse...

Regarding "competitive, arranged wars where skill determines the outcome", most people in this game have not, nor will they ever be, involved in this type of wars. Of course, they could always join the CWL because that is 100% FP...

As usual before a leak or update, everyone is speculating about what is to come. SC went in the direction of limiting play styles / upgrade paths on the BB so it is reasonable to assume that they may extend these controls to the main base.

The question is whether or not they will be that aggressive in attempting to address engineering so that matches are fair for the majority of the player based and whether or not their solution achieves it aims...

Can't wait to see!

Wow 2,500 wars, that's a lot

Especially considering they last 48 hours, in fact it's just over 13.6 years worth of wars.....
I didn't realise CoC wars had been going for that long.

I don't want to be in the position of defending his numbers, but if, like me, you run - or just war in - multiple clans simultaneously, the maths are that simple...

You're correct there. Those involved in leagues comprise a minority, but that number is growing, mostly thanks to engineering. Those that don't join the leagues are slowly quitting the game, or "adapting" and start engineering themselves.

I have 3 accounts and I often war with all of them, I still know that when one is in a war it cannot be part of another war until the previous one ends. So the maths is simple 48 hours per war per account.
So even warring with 3 accounts back to back, with no breaks for vacations or anything that's 4.56 years.
I stand by my assumption that the poster has his figures wrong or something...
