1st of all supercell why cant you fix the matching in war!.. to many engineered bases, why not let them unable to play in war if their lacking defenses or walls?..what im gonna post is just totally unacceptable!..oh u cant post pictures here?..
We got 3 th11 only while almost all of them are th11 and mostly engineered bases and this 25vs25!..common supercell do something about this issue!..
Firstly you can post pictures - Just use imgur or some other similar application.
Secondly, visit https://forum.supercell.com/forumdis...p/66-Clan-Wars. You will find a number of threads on this subject and adding another to the pile won't really achieve much. Better to add to those already made.
Thirdly, don't expect a fix to the war mm anytime soon. It is a very nice money maker for SC.
Fourthly, if you do manage to post some pics, maybe you will get some assistance with your line up to try and avoid as much as possible being matched so unevenly.
On the contrary, I've got some news regarding this coming up pretty soon. Just waiting for some final tidbits of information and I'll post a sticky on it in the next few days.Quote:

But, let's not get unreasonably hyped. Hope for improvement, but don't expect every single problem to be fixed on one fell swoop.
Interesting to speculate what it is they would announce. If they are going to tweak the MM (eg to fix some of the more bizarre weights it uses), they could just do it, and wouldn't need an announcement. In fact announcing it would seem unlikely since they don't say anything about the weights officially. There's not much that needs fixing within what they normally announce.

After years of effort and large sums of $ that many people have put into engineered accounts, I hope whatever changes are made with this regard do not render engineered accounts utterly useless. Otherwise, they should have done that ages ago.

I don't think telling everyone made much difference. People would have worked it out quickly enough. When they reverted that in October people had figured it out within a couple of weeks. The problem was they broke the MM, not that they announced they broke the MM.Quote:

That's the thing. Engineered accounts are missing things that they do have the capability to build. They don't need to be thrown away, just worked on. Granted, some may take longer than others but it is doable. Currently, removing items from your base to engineer it is not possible, so telling people to just join the engineers isn't a great option, as they would have to build new bases from the ground up that wouldn't be ready for a very long time.Quote:

Actually, just slapping 2 infernos there gives you a so-so base, already. We are in a 15v15 war against an engineered clan and I came here to post how fed up our clan is getting with it but found this thread already going.
The whole thing is endemic now and it sucks all fun out of the game for us for 48 hours.
We are not the best at war and we are not the worst but we just enjoy warring whether we win or lose, obviously more if we win. We are just a bunch of guys and girls who are now slowly being driven away as the result is obvious at the start of prep day.
Sure we can engineer ourselves and I'm sure some people have done that but this is a game, albeit an excellent game but it's not my profession or vocation, just something to pass the time.
We used to get an engineered clan very rarely but now it's becoming the norm.
I see 2 reasons for this. Either most people are engineering or a lot of casual clans have given up warring so there is now a greater concentration of engineered clans. I suspect it is the latter which would be a great shame.
Anyway, I hope there is something positive coming soon -
I am happy to forfeit/ surrender a war against an engineered clan as it is a Pyrrhic victory for them anyway and we can move on to the next war and let them have their meaningless winning streak.
From your comment you seem to realise that engineering gives an unfair advantage but if you want a fair fight, as I see it, there is no need to get rid of engineered accounts just match them to other engineered clans/ bases in war.Quote:

The transparency, though hasn't been direct and upfront, that's the missing piece.
The best fix would be to change the MM so that clans with engineered accounts would match against each other. Maybe even have two different MM pools, one for engineered clans and other for normal clans. No one would be forced to drop defences on their engineered accounts, but they always could once they get tired of going against other similarly engineered accounts. There probably would need to be some kind of warning on both war participant selection list and somewhere on the actual account stating that you don't have enough defences to qualify as a "balanced" account.

But then you would be effectively splitting the MM pool and creating smaller MM pools which from what I have read on here would make the MM job even more difficult. Our clan has been matched with a lot of these engineered clans (4 in the last 6wars) for war and most are from Asian, Philippian area or the MiddleEast. Doing TH .5 does not give you a very big advantage in war and itdoes rank you with Top TH8 and low th9s and that is where you belong....butthese defenseless war bases are designed to have a big advantage in warand they get ranked with high TH6s and low 7s…... So I agree COC needs to fixthis.
As soon as they create a minimum war weight dependingon your TH level or create a box you can check to opt out our an engineered warmatch or you can be marked as normal or engineered war clan this mismatching willcontinue. All four of our mismatched warstook less than 5 minutes 1 was 2 minutes and 3 took 3 minutes. COC’s responsehas been we are working on it and to go to their forum…. We have lost several spending players over this problem. I'm still playing, but, I'm no longer paying.
Note: I'm not demanding or even asking for this change. I feel I have no right to ask this of SuperCell as I'm no longer a paying customer and that's not going to change.
However, my wife would like to thank SuperCell ... at the end of next year we'll be able to take our whole family to the opposite side of the world for a 3 week tropical vacation. If I'm to be honest about things, its a good thing I freed myself of the monthly SuperCell car payment. I'm not sure what I was thinking ...

Engineering is just a means to an end, not the end itself. I look forward to the new tweaks and see them as a welcome challenge for further adaptation.
I have several mixed opinions on the matter.... to the point I bought a tablet and started a second account to explore the dichotomy.
From a completionist standpoint, I like to max my main, although, I fear I've outstripped my talent level somewhere mid th9, and will not be back on par with competitiveness until near max th11 when everyone else struggles to 3 star.
On my second account, I was careful, studied wall weights, studied the effects of upgrading splash damage defenses on my main. And came to a few conclusions.... in a world with Jump and Skeleton spells, along with a meta that is biased toward air attacks, adding war weight by upgrading walls is a sucker's bet.
Say what they want in regards to "engineering", SC has created a dynamic environment with player choices. Sometimes an upgrade is a good idea, sometimes it isn't. I prefer a game environment that makes you consider the costs and benefits of your upgrades. And in my opinion, the game loses an aspect, and a good deal of it's strategic component if it devolves itself into just being a grind to reach a goal that offers no reward other than being able to say you completed the game.
As a side note, if there is nothing to do but complete the game and max th11, guess what happens to the game as an increasing number of long time players max out th11..... yeah, they quit playing, and that undercuts all of us.
Nice....while we are talking about war, I really hope that in your sticky you will also say that SC is going to buff TH11 offense to make 3 stars more likely to happen for fairplay clashers like us that dont mod...TH11 max defenses are overwhelmingly strong and I think in the past few weeks many posts have mentioned about the need for extra camp space (either new camp levels or one extra camp) for th11....that would really make the news more pleasant to our ears...Quote:

Personally I'm at the point where i'm considering quitting the game due to the extreme nature of this. My clan is promoting 9.11 (TH9 with TH11 offence) and perma point 5's and ive been with them for 2 years with no engineering.
State of the game right now is terrible, you either join a competitive league clan or roll the dice with the MM and hope for the best.
Lets hope it gets sorted.
