I would have guessed an announcement, if there was one, would have cocme about an hour ago as that seems to be their popular time for announcements. My guess is we will hear at least something today, even if it is just to tell us we won't get the announcement until next week.

There is an announcement on there Facebook page about war matchmaking

I never once thought they were going to tell any of us exactly what they're going to do. Something's are better left unsaid. I took a lot from the announcement. Mainly, they've showed that they're willing to be more attentive to the clan war metas and changes will be made before things get far out of hand.

I'm gong to 'let it stew' a while. It seems clear to me that the engineering snowball has not slowed during the last few months, and SC feel they need to stem the tide (a bit like Sniping).
My initial reaction is that they are just increasing the value of the 'balanced bases' and 'lopsided bases' checkboxes that we (generally - well me!) believe to exist already.:unsure:

I think we all agree it exists, I don't think SC outright lies about game mechanics. The question is how accurate and strong it is.

In my mind everything's relative in MM criteria. Can't make one checkbox more important without reducing the import of all other criteria, or increasing search time leading to widening parameters. If there are five checkboxes, in addition to the weighting system, seems to me each would be a pretty small part of matching on its own.

i am going to stay positive that matchmaking improves. That might be influenced by Friday's tres taco, tres margarita lunch. But positive.
