New Clan War System
I'm back again....:)
Would like to thrown out a revised version of an idea I had for clan wars.
This new system would be a league/ladder system. In order to simplify matches you, SC, would provided several different roster types with specific town hall breakdowns. You could have an all 8, all 9, all 10, all 11 roster or mixed rosters. Based on the roster type selected, you would provide maxed war villages for the players (these would not necessarily correspond to a players personal town hall level).
For instance a clan that selects a mixed roster, they would place a player from the clan into a designated town hall slot. So, say I was a th9 but was needed to control a th11 in war. My name would be placed in a th11 slot. When war was declared, SC would provide me a maxed th11 for purposes of war.
Now clans would win and loose trophies based on war results (win or loss) and move up and down the ladder accordingly. This will eventually sort all clans into skill levels or leagues in which they would find challenging and exciting wars. Higher leagues would have better war spoils.
In the end wars would be balanced and fair, challenging and exciting.
What about gems? Well, speaking for myself, I would not object to paying a gem fee to enter a clan war. I do not know what amount would be appropriate, but maybe 20 gems per person for war?

If nothing else, please fix clan war matchmaking. Revalue the weight of units and structures and give the Grand Warden some weight.
Edit: Also, this would break the tie between single player play style (maxing) and clan wars play style (engineering). Players could their personal base for trophy pushing and an separate base for clan wars. One will no longer effect the portion of the game.
