So I was thinking, what if there was a special troop you could send in and they could defuse and disable bombs before they explode/activate. Obviously this shouldn't have a 100% success rate. Here's what I'm thinking:
Bombs and traps can be upgraded using gold in the laboratory. (This is a one-time upgrade so if you do it from then on all bombs/traps you build are of that level.)
There will be a new troop that is able to disable traps (if they know where they are) and bombs. This troop can be upgraded to defuse stuff faster and more troops on one bomb will also defuse it faster. So it will be a 'which is the higher level/ more effiecent' test.
The better bombs/ traps should be harder to defuse or have a shorter fuse with a chance a malfunction when disabling.
Either, they will have a metal detector ability to seek out bombs and traps or a new potion could be used to reveal hidden items.
Also, whilst these technition troops are at work they will be continually shot at etc like normal troops to make the task harder.
One last point, there should be some sort of gain for disabling these. Whether it be that you can use them in your own village on return (exceeding the maximum amount to build) or the technition troop things (whatever you want to call them) pick up the bombs and act like wall breakers but instead running towards buildings and causing havoc. :-)
