Plixxar's TH8 Vault Base Version 1.0

After reading OJM's guide on how to make a proper vault base, I decided I wanted to explore the world of vaults and create my own. I created this one:

After some of my own personal critics, I decided to scrap that base because I felt it was just too.. Boring. Then an image of a base hit me and I instantly started shifting buildings around until I arrived at this:

But I couldn't stop there, It still needed work. So after hours more critiquing, moving things around even more, I came up with this:

Feeling content with my work, i've decided to post my final ROUGH DRAFT of my base here for outside criticism. Now before you post, I am not asking whether you think my defenses are strong enough for vaults or anything like that, I am merely asking everyone as a community, what do you think would improve this base? What do you think are it's weaknesses.

With that being asked, Here is what I believe are this base's strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:
-Centralized CC
-Funneling via half circles on both bases
-Half Moat intersection at both east and west force wall breakers to either hit where the big bombs are(killing them) or blowing up both the top and the bottom shell
-AT BEST, To get to the center you need 8 wall breakers, 2 for the shell, 2 one interior segment(lets say the one contaning a mortar, 2 for the compartment next to that one, and 2 for the final compartment.
-Every point defense is able to cover atleast 2 other point defenses
-Mortars are covering all 4 storages and atleast 4 other point defenses, as well as the exterior shell
-Wizard towers are covering atleast 2 point defenses each, and the exterior shell

Weaknesses:
-AD's are fairly exposed, and the south is lacking a strong enough air defense to hold off multiple drags, if drags were to break through, they would easily get the two south gold storages, but north AD's will be able to hit them once the gold storages are dead
-CC is somewhat baitable, although it's not very realistic.
-Although this has not happened, I believe one could theoretically blow up two MAIN compartments with just 2 wall breakers ie. The west mortar and wizard tower compartments
-Defenses are obviously not super strong and I still have lvl 6 walls for storages.
-Elixir storages are easy to grab(though I have no problem farming elixir so I'm not too worried about that)

Other information:
No one has gotten more than two main storages in the past 10 defenses(maybe more)

So let me know what you think! Also, I don't have a name for the base yet so If you wanna help me out with naming it that would be swell, I'm not very creative :\

I think switching the ADs and wizard towers would be an improvement.

They would be able to double lightning my mortar and wiz tower on the south if i did that, would it b worth the risk you think?

Could you post a picture of pokeball and explain what you mean? Never seen it b4

Edit: Just looked at junliang's pokeball to see what the above post meant. I really don't see a resemblance at all, his storages are compartmentalized and his spash towers are way different as well. The only thing similar is he has a beautifully made circle base, and mine is pretty ugly and somewhat a circle.

solid layout. new base design function seems nice. was it useful? i havent used it for a build yet

My only issue is the core, sometimes my gold and de are full so that looks like a easy lightning blast for a lot of resources...

Looks decent, I just think a vault design should be a no no to every player who doesn't have a minimum of lvl 6+ splash and level 8 walls, or it will be broken too easily.

It looks very good.
Layout wise, the only complaint I would have are your Air Defenses. Your base seems to have a weakness against the Giant/Healer army. Try to switch your upper ADs with the Mortars below them. Or atleast one of them.

And like Mufasa said Vaultbases are only effective if you have good defenses and Walls. You may stick to Pigfoas TTP or Junliangs Pokeball until your WizTowers are at 6.

Very nice base, AD are a bit exposed but shouldn't be much of a problem, depends where you farm really. Agreed, lvl 6 splash is necessary for vault bases. I suggest using Juns pokeball until you get lvl 6 splash. The pokeball is lesser known than TTP, and its fairly easy to steal DE from the TTP.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I switched my mortar and my two air defenses and i think I like that better. It won't be good against a healer giant combo at the north but i can just have two black air bombs there for security.

Recently moved things around and moved some trap placements around as well. So here it is! I present to you, Version 2.0!

The teslas at the south are currently being used to lure giants to that one location in the wall so that they will break the wall and step on both traps. I was able to fit all 3 elixir storages in the base by switching some walls around and I even managed to get them in a triangular formation so as to reduce the amount of elixir lost for those who care.

Still haven't figured out a name for the base though. Suggestions?
