A Great Way to Defend Against Hogs?

People always discuss what the best cc troop is to have to defend against hogs. What can keep up with them? What has splash?

Why bother keeping up with them if you only need to hit them once to kill every...single...one.

No one ever considers lonely Mr. Balloon.

Calculations:

Hog Rider Level 5 - Health: 500

Balloon Level 6 - Damage: 648 per attack(x6 is 3,888 damage in one go)...AND on death 162 damage(x6 is 972).

That means a single balloon can kill an ENTIRE group of max level hogs.

Maybe balloons in an unlurable CC might be a great defensive strategy....just maybe....

Nice one, but archers are still quite good too, as the hogs dont target them till every defence is down... But hell yeah!! Baloons even resist some lightnings and taking out hogs in one go is awesome ;)

Good point about the 'loons. Would like to see a video of this done successfully (mostly just b.c. those hogs are fast little buggers and balloons... not so much).

That picture is from a video of mine of it working(the hogs weren't maxed but the numbers remain the same because they get one hit by a single bomb anyways).

No need to keep up if the job is done on the one hit you get before they run a mile away.

Sounds good.... but has it been working consistently? I can just see many cases where balloons are chasing hogs doing no dmg.

It has to be the case where they meet in the middle and the balloons get that one crucial hit before the hogs can escape forever.

Possibly 2 balloons(or 4) and 10 Minions(or 5) might make a good CC in this case, so if any escape minions can give chase.

You got attacked by hogs at gold 2?

and also..hog speed 24, balloon speed 10. Hogs would need to stay idle pretty long for loons to connect a shot

The CC is in the center and the hogs come from outside. They would meet for a brief moment in the middle provided you have a tight(but not too tight) design.

the speeds of ballons (deplacement and attack) are too slow, best defensive troupp in cc is wizards or dragons

I am not saying this doesn't work but are balloons fast enough?
