Thank you all so much for not being anywhere near as bad as what HayDay FB is! They posted 2 hours ago about the short maintenance break and already over 500+ comments about people whining, moaning, and groaning. I wish more knew about the forums because then they'd be able to search the category they need and post their concern there. It would cut back on so much complaining on the Hay Day Facebook page.
Most of the comments I see on the FB page are more complaining than one needs in a lifetime. Even if you never visit the forum, if you play the derby you should know by now that there will be a maintenance at the end of a derby.Quote:

The worst whining/begging/recruiting seems to occur when SC puts up a "space filler" prompt like "Fishing event starting" or "Do you like your puppies or kittens better?"
Occasionally FB does surprise me with some great on-point stuff--usually as responses to SC prompts to post screenshots of farms. The best was the farm art one. Here's hoping the upcoming major forum improvements announced by Frisco will make it as easy to post screenshots of our farms to the forums as it is on FB.
As a gamer coming from other platforms, I'd much rather have a game announce and have maintenance breaks than a developer basically let the game keep grinding its gears until it fails. I've been on both ends of that, and the planned and announced breaks keep this game running smooth compared to others I have played.
IMO, it really shows SC supports and cares about their games.
They have to care. HD is still one of their biggest cash cow. The amount of money players dropped in this game is enough to give SC tons of reasons for tweaking and maintaining their software.Quote:

So after reading the thread I had to look at the FB since I never go there. Yep won't be goin back anytime soon. I sure hope that mess doesn't find its way here.
Facebook is very toxic, I try only look at it for the main stories; the second you look at comments your IQ seems to deteriorate.
My favourite FB complaints are along the lines of "Why do you always do maintenance when I am having my morning coffee? Can you not do it in the middle of the night?" - demonstrating complete ignorance about time zones, the world outside their little bubble, the location of SC headquarters, and a generally egocentric attitude. I have to admit sometimes I do read the comments for ♥♥♥♥s and giggles. I am a bad person. ;)
