More Booster Woes

So some of you may know that if you have activated a speed up booster, once the time on that booster has expired, whatever has been sped up grows or produces at the accelerated level until it's completed.
If the accelerated time left(text in yellow) is, for instance 1/2 hr until the crop is ready for harvest that is how long it wil take--even when that particular booster expires.

However this is NOT the case where you trash that booster that has been activated.

I had a crop accelerator booster for lettuce, carrots, onions. Growing lettuce. The accelerator was for 30%. Which took about an hour off the growth time. 3 1/2 hr lettuce was ready in 2 1/2 hrs.
Getting ready to put my farm to bed.

14 minutes left on the lettuce until harvest.

But I had an accelerator booster for soup maker, ice cream and jam maker that I wanted to activate for overnight. I trashed the lettuce booster and activated the soup/ice cream/jam booster.

how much time left till my lettuce is ready to harvest? One HOUR and 14 minutes!

Lol. Noooooo!
The full amount of the saved time has been applied!
Im finding it rather funny really. This is what I get for being too cheap to spend 2 diamonds.
I'll know better next time.

You have GOT to be kidding -- surely this is not how it's supposed to work!!

Haha. In my innocence I was thinking that 30% of 14 minutes wouldn't be that big of a deal. Oops! Didn't work that way.

However I suppose it's a fair trade-off for the bonus accelerated time given when the booster expires naturally. If I can plant strawberries even ten minutes before my strawberry booster expires I still get the full time saving on the crop.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but it seems obvious to me that if you trash a booster, you immediately lose any advantage it gives. I mean, you just trashed it. After literally throwing it away why would you expect it to continue to work?

Good to know! I have to trash boosters (both active and inactive) all the time since we are forced to take two in our horseshoes every week. Sigh.

This is good to know and I am sorry you were surprised but it does seem fair with the extra time for expired boosters and the fact that you trashed it considered.

The same thing happened to me last week. I had 10 minutes left on my 40%-faster tree booster and I wanted to use another booster before bed so I harvested like a bazillion cacao, lemon, orange, and olive trees so they'd be ready the next evening. Flagged all my trees and then trashed my booster with like 2 minutes left on the stupid thing and lost all my tree speed ups. D'oh!

I was thinking the same thing. Throw something away it's gone. You can't use it anymore. It's gone.

I have to agree. It seems that if you cancel the booster by trashing it, the effects will end.

I have noticed that Rose, Ernest and Tom seem to cancel themselves 40-30 minutes before they end.
