Welcome back to another episode of Crush Em Roast Em. Today I'm visiting Gash Em Smash Em, a truly elite war clan. Look at that all-green war log! Their recent record is 47-3 and they have a 21-win streak going including 7 perfect wars. I'm looking forward to seeing some spectacular dip attacks as they go for their 22nd in a row.
Prep Day: We just got matched, and it looks like we're in for a tough war. We have 1 TH10.5 1 TH10 3 TH9s plus some lower bases. They have 1 TH10 4 TH9s. See the problem? We don't have enough attacks to dip on all five of their top bases.
Battle Day (22 hours left): We have a live attack by Gasher against their #2 base, a max TH9. Gasher is going in with 2 golems, some wizards, and a ton of valks. The funnel didn't go as planned and the valks are running around the base, but nice use of the warden ability to keep everyone alive. Now the valks have finally gotten inside, and look how Gasher uses the CC heal to bring them back to full health. Absolutely crushed the base!
Battle Day (17 hours left): Woo hoo! We just pulled off a 9v9 triple! I'd show you the replay but we have another live dip attack by Gasher, this time against their #1. Looks like Gasher is going for the 3-star; he's brought 3 max hounds, 37 max loons, and lots of rage and haste. Gasher uses four loons and a haste to destroy an archer tower and pull the CC troops out-- looks like about seven archers in there. He then brings them to a corner and destroys them with his king and queen. Now he sends the hounds and the rest of the loons in a wave backed by the warden, a dragon, some archers, and some air skeletons. Wait a minute! The dragon, archers, and skeletons belong to the enemy. I think he didn't lure everything the first time. Gasher uses the warden ability, but the defensive queen comes over to help. The pups do their best, but they get melted by the infernos. One star.
Battle Day (11 hours left): If Smasher can 2-star #1 we win. He's brought 2 golems, lots of max valks, and 2 jump spells to get everyone into the core. He does a great job funneling and his heroes and valks get the town hall. One star! Now it's just a matter of percentage. 40... 42... 43... Why are the valks beating on that wall instead of destroying stuff? I think they're going after the queen who is shooting them from behind the wall. The valks finally break through, but there aren't enough left. 47% 1-star. So close!
Battle Day (end): We lost 28-27 despite having higher total destruction. This war highlights some of the problems with the current matchmaking system. It's too hard to win consistently when you can't dip on every enemy base. I'm looking forward to this getting fixed when the matchmaking update comes out. Until next time, good luck in your wars and go crush em and roast em!
