How do you high level players play? I now produce only until a certain amount and then stop producing? I have lots of machines who are stading still, lots of fat animals? I dont do many boats or help out people in the village. My land is empty most of the time!
All cause i also want to play derby, but i cant play hayday between my working day!
Please help me out how to get the most out of hayday😁
I guess the first thing you should do is to have each machine with as many production slots as you can afford. As you have limited hours to play then you can fill the production line so it gets made while you are working or not playing. During derby I try to match the derby task with my playing time. When I have time I get tasks like feeding animals, collecting eggs, etc. I always get a production task when I am going to sleep or ptherwise engaged, so it is being done when I am away.

I rarely stop production. Most machines have an item that is easy to make -- fruit cake, carrot and pumpkin pies, bread, red popcorn, noodles, fabric, shirts, etc etc etc. So I keep them all running 24/7 (or as close as possible) for the XP, and then either sell off the excess in my farm stand or drop into crates on other farmer's boats or do truck orders.
And I constantly collect from all of my animals -- more XP and more drops! Every 20 minutes I want those eggs! I often sell eggs to the farm visitors....
There are plenty of derby tasks you can still do while leaving time for sleeping and work. Just stay away from the quick ones (wheat, corn, eggs, milk) and you should be fine. It will take some time to get used to what you can and can't handle, but you should ultimately be fine. Just think ahead before taking a task. (unlike me who once took a milk task before bed. doh! it expired shortly after I woke up!)
Yes; if you are away you should start producing the most time consuming products on each of your machines so you can take advantage of your off time. If you do not do the town you should pick either boats or truck orders and start producing in advance for them. They will give you xp so you can lvl up. If you do not have enough coin you should sell all you extra products at full price. If you have extra animal products use them on your pets or sell them for coin. During the derby I take truck tasks to take advantage of my extra products but there are a myriad of other tasks to take that have for not to do with the amount of products you have in your barn. I don't recommend boats unless you have diamonds you're willing to spend. I don't do them because you never know if you are going to get a sugar/dairy/fishing boat and then you either have to give up your hard earned items, be set back four hours, or spend 5 diamonds you didn't plan on. Great advice above. I've had hoodies that asked what I do when they were a much lower level. Most important thing I told them was to keep the machines running. Doing this will also help you gain the mastery on the machines, which in turn lowers the production time.
Expand out the queues on the machines as much as possible, at least the most popular machines. Make sure the queues are filled before bed and before you leave for work. Even if your barn is full, about 50 items will stay on the ground before you cannot continue running the machine. Grow your own crops and harvest from the animals, don't rely on the DD to buy what you need. Rarely do I have space in the barn to buy, and I like earning the XP and then selling in my RSS. If you are leveling up but not earning enough coins to purchase the next machine, avoid doing boats or trucks or the town. This is when selling all the extra you are making at full price in your stand. If you have enough friends and neighbors you will not even need to advertise.
If you are goal oriented, look at the achievements by tapping on the farmhouse. Choose 1 or 2 at a time and try to earn them. You will earn diamonds, and that's always good.
When things are busy in life, try to give yourself about 1/2 hour morning and night to get all of the above done. If you can check on your progress during a break/lunch that's even better. Also, you will find that your play style will change many times as you progress. This is usually a good thing. Check the forums often as you will learn lots here.
Wow a massive thank you didn't expect such great tips thank you. Wich are the best machines to max out. I have 4 sugar dairy and food mill are maxed out
I am a level 71
The short answer is as many as you can. Realistically, Dairy, sugar, bread oven, pie oven, cake oven and the grill. I have the feed mills maxed out because so that I always have feed available on the ground. The loom, too, so that you can make sweaters and hats while you are away.
I would say that if you fill your queue and it finishes shortly (an hour or so) before or after you anticipate being back on your farm, then you probably have enough slots.
Also, when you can, I would suggest acquiring as many of the smelters as you can afford. The achievements that go along with the mine/smelters take quite a while, and some of them are timed. So if you have 3 smelters running 24 hours, you actually get credit for 72 hours. And you will be able to work off any ore that you mine quicker.
If you are going to try incorporating any of the tips, start slow so that you can get used to a different way of playing. If you jump right in you may get frustrated and go back to your old ways.

This week was a better week. Although i find it really though to keep producing pick a derby task doing boats and serve people or doibg truck orders. But it is getting better.
