I'm wondering how other players are serving the townies with the new update. I'd like to create a poll, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. So, I'll just ask. Is everyone more or less likely to fully serve a visitor, if they want to visit the sanctuary? What if the visitor asks for ridiculous amounts of some item in one place, such as 9 creams or 10 sugars in the grocery store? Will you still serve, or send away?
I serve almost everyone anyway. But the so-called gifts aren't that great, so I don't check when I'm sending away a townie that want 3 pizzas.
Because the town visitor sanctuary gifts have been underwhelming, I am not enticed to fully serve them if they ask for ridiculous amounts. If they ask for an absurd amount of an item, they get the boot.Quote:

the sanctuary has had no effect on how i serve townies.
typically, i send away most 2-3 serve visitors, unless i have time/room (like overnight) for 2 serve visitors.
the paw prints have absolutely no effect on that metric of my consideration. and any of them that want 3 will be quickly shown the platform, regardless.
it is more profitable (in terms of gifts) to serve 1 stop visitors than 2 or 3 stop visitors, than it is to cater to the paw print visitors that give the same form of gifts, and in some cases worse (like 274 coins from a visitor visiting the sanctuary).
and by no means would i ever go out of the way to serve their unrealistic demands.

But for now, serving a 3 stop townie for 338 coins at the sanctuary -- no thanks. I'll continue to kick them if they ask for stupid amounts of things I don't want to give up, or of they want to go to places where I don't love to serve them. . . BEACH CAFE and GROCERY STORE, I AM LOOKING AT YOU!!
Really, whats up with those unrealistic requests? Some townies ask for 1-2 other 8-9 of the same item? Working as intended? RNG with a twist or something else?
I pretty much send them all away and only serve single serve townies. The extra gift isn't enough of an incentive to serve them, imo.
But I do love the sanctuary wildlife, just for themselves. :heart:

It's made a marginal difference to who/what I'll give them, for example if they ask for something not currently in stock I'll go back to the farm to see if I have one, or maybe shop for it if it's an easy find, or I might give them two of something whereas I'd send them away if they asked for more than one. But I won't give them much more or many items I wouldn't give the others.
IF it was actual puzzle pieces we got, I'd give them a LOT more!
I play solo (pretty much, I have 2 friends in my NH, on hasn't played since Christmas & the other pops in a couple of times a week & only once in a while puts out any townies) so I serve most 2 & 3 shop customers & because I'm more interested in XP & RP than drops, it doesn't bother me. If I want drops it's easier to wheat.
I usually kick out the townies who are greedy who asks for 4 lobster tails, 9 sugars/creams, 4 feathers!!!
Does anyone know if I'm able to send a townie away After I've put them in their place, without serving them the requested items?

Visitors from the eggspress train require 2 or 3 shop services. The ones which arrive sporting the sanctuary thought bubble paw prints are the only ones who visit the sanctuary.
personal train visitors only need one shop, but do not visit sanctuary.
I really never check if a townie is visiting the sanctuary. For the most part, I serve everyone, plus whomever I pick up from neighbors in my personal train.
I only turn away grocery people, because they tend to be the most ridiculous (8 cream? not happening). I don't like to give up any of my dairy. I would rather make pizza with my cheese, than give 3 cheese to a grocery.
I also avoid picking up grocery people from my neighbors, because they almost always want all my dairy and sugars.
First stop is grocery for all my townies. Spa is first stop for other townies, because spa likes to ask me for things like 7 carrot juice. If I have it on hand thats ok, but if I don't, I send them away. Lobster is also a spa favorite, so those usually get sent away. They can have all the lobster soup they want, but not the tails. I only dread the grocery/spa combo, where they may survive the grocery, but the spa is ridiculous (or vice versa).
If townies survive the grocery and spa, I will pretty much serve them anything else they want. I only very rarely turn away a townie on their 2nd stop, and never on the 3rd.
I never really Pay much attention to whether a townie carries a reward or not as they are so underwhelming. If I have a stock of the items they get served if not then they are booted!

I do pay attention to townies with paw prints, I'm a solo player and I like the town, so I have no other option than to attend the townies that come in the train, I ussually send away townies with 3 buildings, except if they have paw prints, then I take them. Normally, I send the 3 building townies away, and serve the 2 building ones plus the 1 building visitors from my hoodies. If a 3 building visitor wants to visit the Sanctuary, I will serve them, too (2 gifts for visitng 3 buildings doesn't sound unfair to me). However, I usually place my visitor in the grocery first, and send away anyone asking for too much dairy (I have no problem with sugar supplies, so dairy is the only thing that bothers me).
I haven't upgraded my town fully yet, so I usually try to keep it busy to get all the Reputation Points I can. If your priority is gifts, you might wantto serve 1 building visitors exclusively :smirk:
