Hello fellow farmer! I'm level 53 on Hay Day. I've got some advice for you, only buy what you need for boats and truck orders, make sure you've got the right amount, if you need to sell some crops, only sell them at one coin so that you can make money faster, if you need to sell crops at full price, that's fine. If you need to sell other items, sell them at full price.

The truck and boat are real traps for low level players. The deals they offer is a ripoff. You get xp, yes, but very little coins compared to selling products on the market at max price. It means that you will level faster to the point where you will unlock new machines, but wont have the coins to buy them. Since new machines/products are unlocked, trucks, boats and later townies will suddenly start to ask for those too.
Then you will need to buy the missing products, often at top dollar further sapping your coin bank. Its a vicious spiral, try to avoid that. Some machines can be avoided for more or less long time, but most can not.
Play slowly, the pets will eventually come. Higher level pets require heaps of rare, hard to get vouchers, like golden or purple. Hayday wikia has all the data on machine level and costs, so you know what and when to expect. If you are close to unlock a machine, stop doing trucks and boats and start making coins by farming quick crops that sell fast and well, like carrots, soya etc. Corn used to be good, but right now is messed up due to the abundance of 320 derby point task that require harvesting 600+ corn, which is fast and easy to do with large farms with 100+ fields, thus flooding the market with cheap corn.
If you never bought diamonds, you will get to watch game trailer flics for a diamond it two. Once you bought your first batch of diamonds, those trailers will cease to show up.

I suggest you save your diamonds to hire Tom and open more slots in your machines. If you have movie tickets and you get diamonds for watching the commercials, please note you may not get anymore diamonds if you buy them from the game.Quote:

It's not like CoC when I bought gems from the game and still continue to get gems from removing obstacles. HD is quirky that way, so caveat emptor.

Ok I need a little guidance again pls.
I opened up the pig sty but I'm not keen on it. Are pigs essential? Can I get by without them?
Personally, I don't see how you could - you need bacon for a lot of items, and it's not easily found in the paper. PLUS should you get dogs and puppies as pets, they eat bacon.Quote:

Out of all the animals I would say that the level of importance goes eggs, milk, bacon, wool, and then goat milk. I cant remember the beginning levels but it would be kinda impossible for me at lvl 83 to go without bacon. You could buy it but its not sold often. I know around lvl 24 you will have bacon pies and burgers. So I suggest you start with 5 pigs then go up as you need more. Personally I got all of my animals as soon as I could. :)
Get the pigs and cows. Ignore the sheep, goats and chickens. You can find the wool, goats milk and eggs in the newspaper. The tool drops on the sheep and goats are not worth the effort.Quote:
