Sorry if this has been requested before but i couldn't find similar thread.
Suggestion is to have any new members joining a clan during war or war prep not able to view war bases. This will eliminate the spies issue altogether. And still allow clans to actively recruit during wars.

Another idea could be to show previous clan(s) in profile. This way it's still up to the players to manage the spy possibility.
This has been suggested previously.
Spying is part and parcel of the game, I seriously doubt that SC will do anything to change that.
Supercell has said that they don't plan on stopping spying because it's a valid strategy. Spies haven't been an issue for me or my clan since its birth over two years ago, yet we managed to fill up just fine
"New players only see scout view" is a great solution long requested.
Clan history of the account is not helpful. My spy account has never been in my clan.
Spying is no great issue, but it is annoying that people fear it so much that they refuse new members during wars.

Clans that do have the skill level find spying amusing. The see the sending of spies as revealing that they are up against an opponent that has real weaknesses. They will either just block them if they dont want the noise or some clans (ours does) let them in and chat them up. We even give them pointers on our bases and will send them on their way with troops. We dont care because we know this clan is missing what they need to beat us and we are in for an easy war. Our only ask is that they be polite. If they come in cussing and trashing we just kick because who wants to listen to that. Recently one of them did drop a nasty racial attack on one of my members and even though the member wasnt that bugged I reported it (something I very rarely do) because that stuff is just bad for the community. But other than that, if they can be nice we can be too. Its just a game guys.
We just don't accept new members during war. We only war twice a week, so there are 3 days a week that we can get new members.
I have to disagree. Imagine someone showing you a screenshot full of air mines where you planned a queenwalk... Or spring traps or teslas where you planned to lure cc with hog/s. Screenshots do give a potenial advantage to an attacker at most th levels, most of the time.Quote:
