Should I upgrade to level 9 townhall?

I'm level 73 from Aussie Convicts, my username is 222Cam222.

All I have left to upgrade is Archer towers to lvl 10 and all of my telsas are lvl3. My walls are pink/purple.

Do u guys think I am ready to upgrade my townhall?

Those walls are really fairly weak. I would upgrade them, personally. The loot drops susbstantially from everything I have ever read, so getting 500k per skull wall will be much more difficult there.

Well if I can get all my walls to lvl7 do u think then I will be ready?

If your base is that close to being maxxed, it really doesnt matter a whole lot. Yeah, its easier to get those lvl 8 walls at TH 8, but you will be fine either way, in my opinion. This is all coming from a TH 8 player, though.

You are ready in my opinion. The majority on this forum is afraid of the loot penalties. I don't mind it at all as I get to prey on a LOT of TH8's for that very reason. I will attack a near maxxed TH8 any day over a mediocre TH9 with dual x bows and 4 wizard towers. Taking loot penalties into consideration I managed a good 5 million gold and 4 million elixir yesterday. Wow, i would have made a lot more at TH8......shucks.

Yes you would have. It seems as though you are making your arguement based on defense. While I agree a mediocre TH 9 is probably tougher than a fairly good TH 8, defense is always secondary in this game.

At least get your walls to Purple but after that it's your choice if you upgrade to level 8 walls or if you upgrade townhall.

Just to share after two weeks more in TH9, I realize that TH9 isn't that bad about loot. Yet you got the loot penalty but with a proper segmented storage you not likely get serious attacks, especial if yr dual xbow is ready. You harvests from others and from collectors, your lost is minimal.

Take a look at my base in the signature when I was upgrading to TH9, not all defense maxed out but got the skull walls for scary effect lol. I'm doing good in TH9 though.

As important as defense is I am an offensive minded farmer. I think I have raided 300+ and won about 9 on defense so far. If what you are saying is correct and offense IS more important, then wouldn't level 6 troops, golems, and 4 spells make it worth it to make the jump?
