re-read the op, this isn't a recurring problem, it was a one off due to not expecting the lessened boost.

So as far as I know a lot of kids can only play on the weekends and not during weekdays. Let's say so and so upgraded something on Saturday night and expected it to be done by Sunday morning. In this scenario they only have like 10-20 minutes to play and 4 minutes would then seem like a decent portion of time compared to the available time. Obviously they'd be angry since the clock tower nerf lead to a couple wasted minutes.
thats an extremely broad statement to say "a lot of kids can only play on weekends" it would be more suitable to use the reference of "some may, or the ones you know of" because i would say many kids have access to a smart device with their clash most days of the week (all the ones that are actually of age according to the Tos 13+)
but anyway, in your hypothetical scenario, i agree, it would seem a big chunk of time if that were in fact the case.

we are all angry the clock tower was nerfed, understandably so too, no one likes losing a bonus.


I'm not sure about this second thing but I think what he's trying to say is that he expected his 8 minute clock tower to finish up the upgrade, but the nerf killed 4 minutes so it was 32 minutes late to finish.
Again, thats making assumptions for the op, going on what was stated, seemed to be just a one of situation of losing four minutes and now after this thread running several days, actually is looking more and more like a troll thread as the op never came back to say anything (he may have very well been just been making fun of everyone upset about the clocktower nerf, but thats just my assumption/opinion)

I'm complaining because supercell is indirectly forcing me to play a different game.

and it's not the same thing as buying a de storage, because to get a de storage I have to play the same game, coc, and not a different, new game

and when I say supercell's opinion shouldn't matter it's because we are the forums and the point is to discuss these matters from "the forums point of view". what would be the point in discussing anything here if we would always put ourselves in supercell's place? not even supercell would want this kind of feedback

If you want to get gems for going to champs you need to get 3200 cups. Maybe you hate pushing past crystal. Fine, stay in crystal, but you're not entitled to some alternate path to those gems. If you want an AQ you need to upgrade your townhall to th9, maybe you didn't agree with the game expanding past th8, that doesn't entitle you to an alternate path to an AQ.

The builder base is part of the game whether you like it or not. Supercell coded it into their game, so it's part of the game. Calling it a separate game doesn't make it separate. If you want to gear up you need to put a small bit of effort into the builder base. Like a few days at most. If you don't want to play the builder base mini game then you don't get to gear up. That isn't forcing you to play the builder base. You're not entitled to an alternate path to gearing up because you don't agree with supercell's game design choices.

The gear up stinks anyways but still, I agree with your complaints. Supercell IS trying to force us into playing a different game, and a crappier one at that!

I don't think the above examples are valid because they, unlike the bb, are the game, I mean, I have to play coc to unlock stuff to coc, so that's fine, it makes sense

If i want to play the builder base i go to my apps and i press the builder base icon. No wait, i press the clash of clans icon. Yes, them writing it into their game makes it part of their game. They are the game designers, they released it as part of their game, that makes it part of their game regardless of your ideological differences with them.

And they wouldn't code candy crush or mario into their game for obvious intellectual property rights issues. But if they wanted to take their game about archers and giants and barbarians and add a flying dog that explodes into fiery puppies? Or blue bowling guys hurling boulders? Or miners who dig under my max level walls? Yeah they could do all those things and it would still be part of the game.

How are you paying to unlock stuff on your base?
You don't need to spend a single gem to gear up. There is no pay to play barrier here and no evidence that there will be in the future. And even if there was, why are you justified in complaining about it? If they wanted to require gems to unlock each townhall level they could do so. Most people would just quit and leave a goodbye post about it.

They're "forcing" you to play the builder base if you want elements of the builder base in your home base. They are not forcing you to play the builder base. If you don't like playing that part of the game then you don't get the benefits from it. I'm not a fan of the builder base myself so I don't have anything geared up. But if it became such a huge advantage to gear up a defense then I'd put the time in that I needed or go find something else to do with my time. I wouldn't spend my time on the forums telling supercell they're making their game wrong.

They're not doing anything wrong. This is how they've decided to make money. I stand by my last sentence. There are plenty of reasons to complain on the forums. But taking issue with a game creator as to what is or isn't part of their game seems pretty ridiculous to me.
