Leading individual Top Contributor in event has higher score than highest place Neighborhood. Supercell playing numbers?
i have no idea, but i don't think supercell has anything to do with it beyond offering a platform where that is possible.
I noticed there were various leaderboard folks who jumped neighborhoods partway through the event (perhaps thinking the birthday derby was going to be a bigger deal than it ended up being). So the top leader contributed part of her points to one NH and part to another.

however, I see what you mean. I have been watching that farm put up crazy numbers the last couple of days. It was a two way fight yesterday.
Her hood should be the top contributing hood as well.

For one of the last missed global events I went to bed thinking, oh yeah we got this in the next hour.

i was horrified to wake up and find out it was missed. They could have bumped us over then if they "wanted us to win" .... It was fishing and we were very close.
everyone is not a winner, you cannot win them all and you cannot feel the joy of victory if you have not felt the agony of defeat
sorry for all of the cliches, however, I have never felt cheated here
Their gain would be dealing less complaints from the players, could you imagine Facebook? It would probably blow up with players complaining about missing the goal. :saywhat:Quote:

I agree with Daz, they have enough going on right now without a forum full of angry posters 😖 But I think the reason that is more likely, is that it was the 5th Birthday Statue. They wouldn't have wanted us to miss out on that. The other things, like the Bell, could be rolled out again at another time, the 5th Birthday Statue, not so much.Quote:

I don't think 'cheated' is what anyone was saying. SC manipulate stuff all the time, the game is coded to the moon & back...this would be no different IMO

As far as whether or not SC may have given us some extra "hugs" behind the scenes, I have no problem with that whatsoever.
If they have created the global goal number then they have some responsibility to help us ensure that we meet it. If they did give us some it certainly wasn't just a gimme. The players contributed the greatest amount of waterings/hugs. By far.
And an unsuccessful event is unsuccessful for everyone.
Perhaps from a purely financial/business standpoint they have witnessed what happens to player spending levels after failed global events.
"We'll show the world next time." just doesn't feel like adequate reward for the many who go all out for global events.
