June Update - feedback time!

Feedback time eh? Well I am satisfied with the update as a whole, but I suppose that's because it didn't affect me. I'm a th 9 and a bh 4. Haven't seen much of an update affecting th 9 in a while, would like to see something soon though ;). Bh 4 is fine for me as well. Keep up the good work.

BH update was fine with the exception of the CT nerf. Seriously...greater than 50% nerf? Just like SC to do that. Oh well.

The TH update was poorly thought out. The gap between max th10 and max th11 is huge now. Also not surprised, but disappointed.

plz fix the UI... we will all happy

Please fix the retargeting lag. Was working smoothly before update, now we're back to glitchy retargeting.

I like the update thus far but one thing bothers me. I am disappointed with the clock tower nerf, it was a 12 minute boost and now it is a 6 minute boost at max. The update other than the clock tower nerf is great!

Overall the update is good but I think there is lot things which should be done.
1)Clan perks after level 10 is very important.
2)Clan space must be increase (this can be a clan perk)
3)Th 11 camp capacity should increase from 240 to 260.SC is working on defense only and it is going more tough after every update to clear th11 with good %.
4) Do something special for Hog Rider,No one use HR after th9.Because he can not face inferno/EA.
5)Something new for low th like th8 or th9.
6)NEW TROOPS AND SPELLS AND A HERO TOO. EVERYONE IS WAITING FOR THIS.

I HOPE SC WILL LOOKOVER MY IDEAS.

I find the UI changes really annoying. Everything getting much bigger and spread out makes it harder to find what you're looking for. It's as if you're sitting too close to a theatre screen and you're panning your head around. While I'm at it, I think the builder hall UI should be more similar to the main UI. If you want to look at your battle log, you need to go two menus deep and have to go back out through the first menu. It just feels like there's too much tapping around and nested menus.

The clock tower nerf was pretty lame. It wasn't THAT awesome, it was just pretty nice, and in the balancing it was just totally gimped. I'm not one to shake my fist and rant about cash-grabs but it probably has the strongest whiff of that than anything ever done. It was mostly nice when I had a handful of roughly 1 hr upgrades that I could just bang through without having to schedule my day around them.

I basically haven't tried anything else yet, but the rest of it seems reasonable to me on paper. Kind of expected more walls to get opened up but I suppose it might be a wait-and-see deal with new wallbreakers and such.

Just realised troop icon bar for Android is now to stay at 11.5 icons... Congrats SC, you just lost a player who started in 2012, too many train wrecks these last 6 months, no more enjoyment at all in game.

Edit: I mean, other than time, that's all I spent, thankfully. Whoever made the decision with the CT owes this and a lot more back to SC's paying customers.

I playing coc since I got June update but their big problem was my Internet pack going faster I played 30min I lost 100to 150 mb in minutes plz supercell fix this issue fast


I already use data saver apps they also saying ur clash of clan game taking lots of data I wasted my Internet fast . Plz me

In basic English, so you understand. Please improve the UI by reverting it back to how it was, it's really bad now.

And I think that pretty much covers the update for me so far.

So right now at this point in time I am going to give this update a generous 3 out of 10, and honestly it kills me to be negative about the game I love so much, sorry SC just being honest from a TH10 diehard CoC perspective.

Same here, new hogs are a bit improved but pathing is worse, same goes for loons.

I play on an iPhone 6 Plus and I haven't noticed any ui changes. Is that only on some devices? Maybe a bug of some kind? Seems like if it were intentional it would have been for all devices and not just some.

I hsabe come to realize that Darian was not hired to participate or to even absorb user complaints / and to pass them on - in the sense of a true community manager. He is more of PR guy, who will be doing videos and "hyping" future updates, etc and doing some work on those nice graphic posts in the inbox (news) section of your game. He is also muzzled or trying to protect his job.

i play this game for 3 or 4 years, and the UI now is soo bad.. plz come back the old UI...

I do not dare to go above 5200 cups as I am at 5000 cups at the moment and have 50min to 1h of cloud watching before I get a base to attack... o.O

Builder base or bad war matching won't distract/alleviate from these all day clouds.

Fix your game SC!!!!

I like troop balancing initiatives, plus for that.
New defense levels for th11 - kills th10 vs th11 2 stars, hurts wars, indirectly encourages engineering.
TH10 offensive boost or lack of it - not sure if the extra miner level or hog level will help, yet to be confirmed.

My clanmates all believe that the extra levels for existing troops and defenses is nice but it leads to eternal boring farming and not enough new challenge that we need to keep players addicted to the game. The BH is becoming less popular as it offers little strategic depth and we would like more love for the main game getting war mm fixed and the cloud issue fixed (mm is our priority).

We would emphasize the desire for new content - not a builder base but something that is related to the TH game and wars. Lots of great ideas came but as a quick fix new troops and spells wouldn't hurt. Perhaps new structures. Or a new building? (Elemental shrine ??)

The lack of reaction to all people complaining from the UI changes is disgusting.

If you're going to nurf the CT, give us something back. Reduce to cooldown to a noticeable degree, at least, not just one hour, so we can 'use it three times a day.' Yeah, because we're totally going to be awake and available to use it 21 hours later.

Frisco wasn't joking about Farm Wars then. Reserve a special one for me.

I actually thought the clocktower applied to the home village when it said 'speed up your village'. I've been scammed for my gold which could've gave me BH 5 a day sooner. XD It would actually be helpful for me if I had that boost, knowing how long upgrades take and production doesn't improve much at TH10.

The duration is what matters for players. You know that when you have done your attack, your next one is lined up as a bonus for doing them in succession. That way, every day and even twice in a single day when you have spare, you can do your looting quickly.

Any official reason as to why the retargeting lag time is back? It's a direct nerf to all units because they retargeting slower and die faster. I'm talking of course about whole, once a building is destroyed the unit rotates to a southerly direction and seems to be doing a 'recalculating' thing before it heads to new target. It was the best thing to come from the previous patch was smooth unit targeting. Now it's back... Just want to know why it's back and if it's on purpose?

Clouds at Legend seem worse than ever. I'm at 5310 right now. 45 minutes or more between offers and many aren't worth the bother.

Builder Base progress feels like it's come to an uber slow grind, so I will just do what I can. Not gonna stress about efficiency since SC seems to want to milk gems out of me over there. Attacks on BB side are goofy weak/lame compared to a max th11 attacks on TH side, which just makes me laugh. Can you imagine having a youtube channel about "epic" BB attacks? lol.

My main base was max before update and I have 3 builders going so far. Kind of a boring addition of grinding for new defensive structure levels alone. Need a new gaming mode event or something on the TH side to make it more interesting.
My DE is at 200,000 due to nothing new there. Would have liked a few more walls unlocked to have something to dump regular elixir into.

Game is definitely feeling stale.

Hear hear. Not only is the overlarge UI giving me headaches and blinding me, troop/spell deployment has never been this difficult. My default attack squad is 15 units and 3of them are forever hidden from me, precious time and coordination wasted scrolling left and right, and it has never been a problem until now.

That is the problem really; it was ok before, and now it's unplayable. And like many others I intentionally moved to a tablet so that I can play better. I understand these large icons/fonts for small phones, but for tablets too?? Come on. And the "it is meant to be played this way, accept it" attitude is truly disappointing and demonstrates an absolute disconnect and indifference from SC, which I find quite unbelievable to be honest.

Fix this, I love this game and I just wanna play it, that is all.

This is how the game was played since the beginning. You guys just had an advantage over us Apple users. I play on an iPad and I don't feel I should have to scroll for troop at all. Nevertheless, it's how it's been since I started playing. I'd be happier if we could rearrange the unit deployment tiles before an attack.

That's not true. iPads can display two more troops without scrolling (tested with my brother's device). The chat and all icons, images and fonts are smaller, too. We now have the same GUI as iPHONE users. I would give them 100 bucks to get the same GUI as iPads with my Android tablet.

The pattern of recent updates has been anti-skilled play, pro-spam.

People doing dip attacks on TH9s with max laloon don't have this UI problem. They drop all their loons, then drop all their hounds, then drop all their rage, then pop warden ability. The number of icons easily fits on their phones.

guess im not playing the game the way they intended, or most of the forum thinks
engineers only spam max troops on th9's and lower!

(my dummy self is trying to 3* a 106 weight 11. with mine..)

Th9 already takes a long time to max out. Why would you want more content? Anything added to th10 or above does benefit you, because it is something you also eventually get.

I haven't found clouds any worse. Under 5200 cups the average for my mates is more like 30 minutes. Yes, there is the occasional 1 hour search, but there also are very quick ones too.

I'm at 5400-5500 or so (I would check, but I'm in the clouds haha) and I'm getting matches in less time than it takes my heroes to wake back up. Like you, I'm not worried much about the Bh, I'm above 3000 trophies getting my 3 wins per day and upgrading what I can. For my main base, I'm glad they added some more stuff for me to upgrade. My lab is going and I have 4 builders working for the first time in too long. I do think the defense went to far, though. I would have preferred some new camps to go with this big increase in point defense.

in game support blows you off, gives you a canned answer
staff says "its a better experience!"

public protest is the last resort? and usually the only way to get noticed is to become such a nuisance, and create such bad publicity that you might create a change in their stance. (big maybe there)

giving them a 1* rating (done) on the store i'm not really convinced does anything, but i did it..
wont spend any $ / gems for sure now unless fixed.

i'd love some more "protest" options. i dont do facebook or twitter or any of that junk.. so thats out.

Absolutely agree with you. I started for my own 2 days ago to do the same as you are recommending. I gave 1 star in all questions (jugability, graphics, etc), wrote a very bad and reasonable critic on the COC App and I won't buy a **** until they fix my resolution on my Samsung Tab. And I movilized my clan who they started to do the same there on the app store.

And the snow ball starts to grow. Wait for it.

I don't mind the change on my andoid device, possibly since I'm used to scrolling my army on my apple device, but in any event, if I was, you ask what should I do? I know what I shouldn't do: annoy my fellow players. Players are of course free to complain about the update here on this forum. It is a discussion forum after all. However, if their posts are intentionally annoying other players, those other players have an incentive to give them a downvote.

I wanted to ask why did you guys lower the boost time for the clock tower in the new update? I worked hard in those battle to be able to upgrade the tower to 12 minutes and you guys lower it to 6 minutes? Please give me back my 12 minutes it's not fair that I played the battle and spent a lot of gold for it and now to be reduced.

I think th9s should get a lvl 4 pekka upgrade so that we can donate max pekkas to others and well to give strats like gowipe a chance. Apart from that and the clock tower nerf it hasn't impacted me much. Just bemused at all the secret changes like the clan castles in war etc.

We've had to scroll for troops on android tablets just like iPad, BUT now we get to scroll like iPhone NOT iPad.

I think you three have well enough made it known throughout this thread that you are unhappy with the new UI. This information has been relayed to SC. It's now in their hands to determine what to do. Continuing to post on it for days and days will not increase their awareness of the issue.

Furthermore the posts are becoming more and more toxic as we go along. You can continue to complain if you must, but let's remember to be respectful towards each other as we discuss the issue.

FWIW I too have an android tablet that has gotten the short end of the stick and has to deal with the new size.

Maybe we would stop posting on it if SC responds to our complaints. I will not wait 3 months for the next update just to see that they haven't done anything about it .... and why should I shut up if apple users keep trolling us and telling everyone how great this new gui is? :mad: I want 1 response from SC staff, only ONE that doesn't say the same thing as Anoushka's first post. Absolutely agree with you. We are keeping protesting because we dont want to be forgotten and we are so worried because we dont have news or sth to get, just nothing Smolson, what would a person do against this? a t-shirt with sth like "KEEP CALM AND "GREAT EXPERIENCE"?

I play on a Huawei Mediapad and also have the same problem, so its not only Samsung owners that are affected.

smolson... its gone way past "i dont like it" i thinks

anyone trying a th11 multi stage, ground / air attack is screwed with all this scrolling back and forth on this new android UI on a tablet. (or you are just some attacking god, and hats off to you).

our players war performance has suffered significantly that had to deal with this change.
partial seconds count. loss of screen concentration counts. there is little room for error.

The "Auto-Adjust" thing you mentioned is what Androids used to do (iOS got pushed the exact same, only scaled for tablet, or iphone/ipod) Before this update, the Androids would auto-adjust to their device/manufacturer display settings, which is why some had "normal" screens like the iOS devices, and some had smaller or zoomed out screens due to Android.

If I'm understanding what they did was they overrode the manufacturer display settings and tried to push the same screen to all Android device to match the iOS versions (so Android phone would look like the iPhone UI and Android tablets like the iPad UI)

If I'm also understanding what happened, we have 4 groups of players out there

1) iOS who always had the "Normal" displays/menus, etc and continue to see the same as they have for 5 years
2) Android users whose devices did not make any changes whose screens were similar to iOS users and continue to be
3) Android users whose devices displayed things smaller before, but are now brought up to iOS/Normal standards - their screens and menus are a little bit different - these are the group of folks who will need to adjust as it's how it was intended
4) Android users whose device either were normal or maybe things were smaller, but now their screens/menus are "Super Huge" ie even larger than the group 1/2/3 folks - among other things, seem to be tablets being fed the phone UI - these are the ones I'm trying to capture device data on.

The same goes with other screens. Clan window only manages to display clan description plus 2 members. Used to show 6. To summarize, everything is as it is on the phone version of the game (I have a Nexus 6p phone and compared screens). Previously there was a tablet optimized version as well.

I understand you. I did not pay gems to upgrade the ct but the nerf its suffered is too much. Im with you.

Request to SC:

You fixed the price of the Clock Tower for the previous stat. Now that it is only around 40% effective as how it was, reduce the upgrade cost and time also by 40%. It is just fair, right? How can you reduce the quality of a certain thing and keep the value (price/time) as same?

I know it is never going to come back to it good old days, but at least compensate the loss by something else.

I can't even efficiently swipe down to the bottom of war screen to donate to lower war ccs anymore. between the top banner and request message, I have about 20% the screen left to work with to actually swipe to scroll

I cannot effectively manage new recruits cuz I can't actually find them in a clan list that displays 5 names at a time in a clan that's always near 50. nor can I effectively eyeball the star status of enemy bases when I'm trying to decide if we're short on attacks, and whether I need to tell the high players to clean up low bases, or if they're clear to get an extra star from a strong base

yesterday I almost botched a war cc fight because I had to pull with archers, swipe to the right to find my poison, then swipe back left to find my archers to keep them in the poison

I have largely stopped keeping up with clan chat cuz I can't effectively skim through convos from when I wasn't on


this is very far above and beyond a "not used it". this UI drastically impairs user experience, and it is completely unacceptable that there hasn't been any announcement on fixing it. if clan runners can't run their clans, and if clan players can't attack precisely, how is this even clash of clans anymore. it's just clash of solo grind attacks

I'm obviously passionate about this game, and passionate about the horrid look of the new update.
I've never complained once about any other update, because the game changes sometimes for the good sometimes for the bad. BUT, this change has nothing to do with the game. I bought a tablet only to play this game on my 3 different accounts. There was nothing wrong with the way it looked and they made it worse by making it look like my phone enlarged to fit on a bigger screen. And as others have said, we've been complaining for 4 days, yet this is the first time someone said they relayed the message.

If we stop complaining, SC may see it as people have adapted, and I DO NOT want them to think that for a second.

It's not just the bigger font, the fewer troops. The map itself is more zoomed in. I now have to scroll the map from one side to the next if I have things going on in two different places. I get on a phone there is no option, it's a small screen, but that was the whole point of me buying the tablet in the first place.

Anyway, if you want us to stop complaining we will. But then we may all just end up really stop playing as well and clearly none of us want to do that.

7 Days to Gear Up the Archer Tower is ridiculous. It is like you are asking us to not play the game for 7 days. It what world does that make sense. I will not gem it and now will play builder base for only ability to gear up main base. I will leave everything else alone. I hope you guys get the point that is a lot of wasted work that you put in if more people just do minimal work to get gear ups. The other option is going back to original spirit of clash of clans and not trying to stick it to us every time you see an opportunity.

1. Dec 2015 - The whole SC employee base went on vacation for a month
2. Wall price reduction - to this day, still never an official response to the outrage.

I've actually spent money on this game, and while I imagine it's legal, it is very poor customer service to change the value of something after it's been purchased.

I can promise you that I will not be spending another cent on my or my children's SC games. This was a ridiculous move and is easy enough to remedy, but you don't appear to care about your customers' frustration with the matter.

As someone else said, I have always scrolled back and forth between haste and loons, even in Th9. Our 11s are scrolling so quickly between loons and haste, I can't believe they 3 sometimes. For at least a year, 11s have been begging to stop scrolling. They prefer mass attacks sometimes simply to never scroll.
in Th8, on my mini I had to scroll back and forth between poison and barbs for a barb kill, as some complains about too.
Most of us do have sympathy for your scrolling issues, it's awful. We are just surprised that apparently, you never had them before.
Why SC decided to deal with it this way instead of letting us arrange our tray before we attack, is beyond me. Unless this has nothing to do with COC and everything to do with COC2.

maybe having to switch writing hands, because you broke your wrist?

i guess its theoretically possible.. but how enjoyable is it. and how effective is it. and how aggravated do you get before saying screw it. alot of folks opted out until fixed.

The only answer I can come up with, is they have not added the troop tray we have all been asking for to keep the % rate down. They found out some devices you didn't need to scroll, so they decided to spread the misery rather than giving everyone a better gaming experience.

Does it make you feel better to be a jerk? One of my many devices is an android tablet and, as I said, I don't care too much about the change. I don't like scrolling for my army, but I'm used to it from one of my other devices. It isn't that big of a deal, although it isn't great. The larger font is fine. That doesn't bother me at all.

Agree 100%. I will not spend another dime on this game. The clock tower nerf messed up everything about the BH. I just started a clan war only to be matched with a clan that has ten bases with no defenses. How hard is it to make defenses required to upgrade TH like it is in the BH village? I am so tired of this.

Please change the clocktower boost back to what it was. Most of us like using that boost for our 3 attacks. My boost is now 5 minutes, in my 1st attack today my opponent took the full 3 minutes. Now I have 2 minutes left at best on the boost. My budget for this game has never been huge, around 50.00/ month for 2 years. It is quickly dwindling....

My feedback is simple, didn't like Dec update, gave it honest try and ground my warden to 20 before deleting the app from all of my devices. Took a year off, gave it another shot, started to sort of enjoy clashing again aside from the constant friendly reminders to spend gems. Builder base came along, thought it was a bad joke but gave it a sort of chance. Did my 3 attacks every day, upgraded to bh5, struggled to find enjoyment within the limits of the new direction of clash. Was very disappointed with the clock nerf prioritized over goofy troop ai fix. Honestly I spent all the loot in my main village storages tonight, left my collectors exactly where they were and deleted the game again. See you in another year everyone, happy clashing and I hope you all find enjoyment where I couldn't.

PS, for all of you that feel the need to post ignorant comments about the quit drama please don't. I posted this as honest feedback about the update. Possibly SC will read it and understand that I'm another customer that has entered the former category...where I have been since 2015 massive game changing update, speaking with my wallet.

Make the level 15 archer tower and cannon look like something that is actually being upgraded. They both look like downgrades from previous levels. Add some chains, spikes, and maybe some lava to the archer tower to go along with the cannon's lava. Try to give each defense some more detail because that archer tower looks like some connected shapes made in Microsoft word. I wrote a review in the App Store already that explains a lot of visual glitches. If y'all actually take the time to read this Supercell, my number is <redacted>, and maybe I could speak to someone regarding glitches that have an easy fix. And by the way, great music in builder base. It's a very relaxing song that goes with the theme. Good job guys and remember that y'all are ESSENTIALS so we expect organization and quality

Every thing is good but ct need some improvement...u guyzz reduce the boost time in half...also reduce boost power from 8x to 6x...only req i have is only reduce i thing at one time...give the old boost time or old 8x boost power

Some days after the update, with all builders and research lab at work, i think th11 needs other 25-50 lvl12 walls. I have all the storages full and I can't play for 9-10-14 days (full gold) and 14 days (full elixir). Sorry for my english

Twister is hard at work telling people that it was wrong before. What they are seeing now is right.

Instead of fixing big troop icons (scrolling during attacks) for IOS they messed it up for Android. SC at the top of their game!

From this point onwards, the majority of us Android users vs iOS is the UI issue thats the main problem, I would just like to point out that with an Android device we can play with multiple accounts vs 1 account/device on iOS.. well, you guys can do the math about profit here on out.. the fix we android users need is gettin the UI back... and dont give us an attitude, we pay, we play... we dont play, bye bye SC..

Still like the game, nice additions and all, but still engineers ruin our satisfaction. The option to restrict your war matches should be an easy fix. I'd rather wait an hour for a close match-up than 5 minutes for a match that brings suck for the coming two days... The upcoming NDL shows that you guys should have already embodied this option in the game. The community should be able to chose the way they want to play. You don't have to forbid engineering - it's just A way to play - but it sure is one annoying thorn if you and your clan mates do it another way.

There is absolutely no fun in seeing your top beginner th10's getting wrecked by a no brainer defenseless th11 with Max LaLoon / max dragon and Grand Warden lvl5+.

Every update I hope it will be fixed...

Any news about the loons?

Post bug fix patch, units still retargeting slower than pre update... Is this on purpose? What's the deal? Right now farming is great because everyone is upgrading their defenses. But soon we'll have OP defenses and marginal troop upgrades. Please fix the retargeting thing before then.

After getting smashed by a few clans with several highly engineered bases, I decided to build some myself. Join them if you can't beat them.

The clock tower nerf is like stealing resources from people who immediately started investing in it. We sunk early gold into pumping it up, delaying other upgrades. Now that gold is just gone! Thanks for using us Supercell! The least you could do is to give us a refund.
It's like we made a deal. You said do this work and we'll pay you "x" amount. We did it and then you changed your mind.

Game crashing when tap the Builder Base section.

You can all whine how much you want but ♥♥♥ won't change anything what decreases their income so you can forget about CT.

They didn't nerf loons again. They FIXED the bad AI pathing that came in the May BB update. Sure it "looked" faster and smoother, but in reality that pause they are supposed to do is important. It gives them time to retarget without continuing on the path to a destroyed defense.

The broken AI after the first builder update, made them look smooth, but they were still taking that time to retarget, but getting more clumped together and more off course because they continued along a bad path.

It looks now like it was an unintentional change and they've fixed it back to the original AI. Which is what most of us doing surgical need.

The changes to the clock tower was stupid. It made a cool addition to the game pointless. It did not cause people to advance to quickly, the daily 3 rewards attacks does enough to control progress speed.

Exactly. I want to just win 3 attacks and get this over with not bother with it until next day. That is why this money hungry CT nerf hurts me even more because I can't win three attacks before boost ends.

Ok, I am so mad right now.

Attacking a TH10 with infernos as a TH10.

I was scrolling around to drop the poisons and when all my troops died at 90% 2 stars, I notice the timer is still ticking... Then guess what, the 2 cleanup archers are sitting there outside of my screen. I had all the defenses down and the king fighting the last remaining golem for over a minute and a half. I could have at least gotten 95% if not 100% if I put down those archers.

Thank you SuperCell for a useless UI change that just made my life that much harder.

For the love of all that is holy to you, please revert these UI changes. It was a nice joke, please let it be over.
