As the rewards for visitors to the sanctuary are so underwhelming I have just been leaving them next to the book uncollected. Yesterday I had amassed 10 (3 axes, 4 saws and 3 coins). Today another visitor was approaching the sanctuary trundled along viewed, turned around and went back to the train station without dropping off anything.
Therefore is 10 the maximum number of rewards that can be left uncollected?
I have left the 10 there again to see what happens to the next visitor
This makes sense. Ten is max for Rose and Ernest too.
