Ok a bit more than 3 1/2 days left and we aren't even at the 1/2 way mark!!
I've seen more fruit in stands than I have ever seen before. And it's selling fast.
Let's use those booster cards and get new trees and bushes growing so we don't miss this event prize, too!

Wussypuss, I wish they had included boats, too. I didn't have any boosters to use either, and have stripped and replanted all my trees and bushes.
With the simplicity of this event I would have thought we would be way closer to the goal by now.
I can see people not being excited about another 5 diamond event, but for deco usually there is more excitement.
Should be very close. We are on pace for 231,000,000, or about 5,000,000 more than needed. I agree that boat helps should have been included, as that is much more worthy of a hug ☺

The 2nd hour was about the same. I was a little late and clocked in 1.4 million.
math is not my thing, but assuming we are at our lowest hourly rate being 1.2 million x 86 hours remaining gives us 103.2 million and a total of 196 million.

I've just cleared my orchard again and replanted loads of apples, olives, raspberries & coffee. So I'll have quite a few more just before the event ends.

It's hard to imagine SC not finding a way to get the deco to us. It may cost some diamonds to buy it in the shop if we don't reach the goal.
Hopefully those holding on to trees that can be flagged for someone doing a help task will flag them after the derby is over.
I'm clearing and signing everything I can as soon as it's ready - but even with a 4-Star tree booster, it takes TIME (which we are running out of). It's becoming clear that there may not be 1/4-billion tree helps a week out there.
Is this another goal-setting misfire? That was the biggest issue with the well-beloved drag-and-drop events.
Surely SC has the data to show how many helps are generated and satisfied per day. I wonder though if those helps are able to be determined between boat crates and trees/bushes?
What I DO know is that SC never intentionally sets global events up to fail. They honestly do try and set achievable goals for us that hit that sweet spot between not being so easy that everyone is done and the global goal is reached on day 2, and not being impossible.
Maybe people like the diamonds more than deco? I know I do not care if it is not for diamondsQuote:

So glad several of you are having great sucess. It does not sound like your experience is the norm, nor does the current status of the global goal bear out your experience. My own has been that all week I have gotten exactly ONE water from the paper. Any post with water is snapped up instantly. Within our NH we are helping each other as much as we can. Those of us with boosters have used them. I personally thing this was a poor choice of contests and the goal is WAY too high. A good old fashioned drag and drop would have been great, and anyone/everyone could have hit the goals and gained the prize. I will be surprised indeed if we make it. But hey, I have another birthday cake, and a diamond package that is a duplicate of what I already bought before, and a wildlife animal that has no playmates and no real hope of getting any soon, so what's an event that falls flat as well.
Believe it or not, we have seen over and over how MUCH MORE MOTIVATED players are to participate in events that feature a unique deco rather than the usual 5 diamonds.Quote:

These failed past events just highlight how hard it is for SC to set these kinds of unique or drag-and-drop event goals. Players LOVE the production events, but HATE missing the goals. It's a tough call for SC, and carries risk for them if they estimate incorrectly and players miss the goal.

Okay, so screw puzzle pieces and the sanctuary. I can't do a thing about them, so I'm going to just feed my giraffe twice a day and otherwise ignore her. Nothing else I can do.
As for this event and the statue -- also whatever. I can;t make there be more trees. And at least no one can accuse SuperCell of being greedy, there isn't really a way to spend diamonds to get more trees hugged. They simply miscalculated. And hey, we still might meet the global goal! Again, there is nothing I can do other than play my own game.
On to good news -- I just got another permit and opened up another spot of deco land! Only 28 permits left to go! And again, all I can do is play. So play the game I will!

Many of these threads accumulated during a stretch when the Hay Day team launched the holiday theme and then went on vacation for a couple of weeks. We heard nothing from Helsinki throughout the entire debacle. Something similar happened during the birthday party last year when the mayor was not holding the chocolate fountain and nobody was sure what the global prize for the birthday event would be. As Lynn noted, this is the midsummer holiday in Finland. It obviously coincides with Hay Day's birthday every year and usually closely follows an update. It makes it tough for farmers to have everyone go on holiday at critical times.

Coffee and olives at 24 hours.
Everything else takes progressively longer.
Nectar bushes have a quick enough time if you're able to drop in regularly and collect honeycombs.
Im at 175 hugs on my main farm. Silo is bursting at the moment.
I would consider some fruit sales of my own but I'm already out of axes and saws.
Since the event starts my bees are hurry :-)

and I do not love golden statues, but I know so many love them, so we try our best
all my hoodies doing the same, but we can't play hours per day :-(
It is a little bit frustrating,
I'm at 305 so far & have flagged easily that many (probably a lot more) & flagging more as they fruit. I'll keep doing both until the last minute!
It has killed my saw supply 😖 so I hope we get the prize!
My saws should build up after this as I'm not going to need to harvest anything for quite some time! 🤣
I've planted an extra 100 raspberry bushes. I'm harvesting everything as quickly as possible.
I hope we'll make it, not just because of the statue, but it's nice to work with everyone towards a common goal. I've asked my neighbours to do the same.
The top contributors definitely have their neighbours/friends spending diamonds to speed up trees and bushes. Otherwise I can't imagine how they'd revive 80k plants in 3 days...Quote:

I should clarify -- there is no "simple" way to spend diamonds in this event. You can't hire Tom to get ahead, you can't call boats to get ahead, etc.
Speeding up trees is cumbersome, a few trees may be easy. But a whole "forest"?? That is a cumbersome task. Ain't nobody got time for that! ;)
I have neighbors that are super water-ers. Super helpers. I put a flag up, bam. Watered. Crate filled. They are there. So no I don't feel like some use diamonds to speed up a bush to get a flag. They are "top players" because of dedication to the game and lots of playing.Quote:

I do not have the data, so I am just guessing. I think the miscalculation is due to the massive number of new players, and a problem I see from many low level players that they do not get enough saws/ axes, so they cannot really be repalnting or contributing with many trees or bushes. If you calculate the goal based on having x players, but some 20% of those players are unable to contribute much wood, we might get the problem that we have now. It would be worse if many old timers like some on this thread were not exhausting considerable stocks of tools and using vouchers.
I was lucky to finish my goal on the first day, but even on that first day, there were people, here in the forum, that were giving up after getting to 2 nd goal. Since then I have been contacting whomever I can among friends to provide them with trees.
for what is worth, I think we will reach the goal, but barely.

If globally players are much more motivated, then why are the goals missed? I agree that the forum is more motivated, but the people who post on the forum are an insignificant number of people when talking about obtaining global event. My hood of 30 is ignoring this event. We are not watering, or harvesting, any differently than we normally do. 5 diamonds and we would have been all over it. Does not prove a thing, I grant you. Maybe there is some new growth now being harvested as there seems to have been a little more progress made since yesterday. I know I will have quite a bit to be harvested in the morning, (might need to set the clock on it), that will be marked, as well as some that will be the harvested in hopes of making it to be watered before the end of the event.
I'm harvesting and watering like never before...Keeping my eyes on the price:smirk:

We did have a maintenance break this morning. In a situation like this, I think it would be totally awesome if SC did pitch in a few million hugs. I would obviously love if it was help us get the reward. There is every chance we will get a player based spike in numbers at derby start too. All those withheld trees for derby will get watered.
I feel a "bell-gate" or Easter tree crisis coming on. Neither of which was won due to outragious expectations by SC. SC can't be expected to know in advance the level of participation in a global event, especially in a new kind of event like this one. So it just makes sense for them to have a plan B ready in case participation numbers turn out to be lower than they could have predicted.

At this exact moment, based on the current rate of what looks to be 500 hugs per second. We are going to finish the event around 235,129,000. I was checking the rate earlier and it was about 250 hugs per second which would put us at 214,496,000.
We need to maintain an average rate of about 383 hugs per second to win the statue.
I'm still harvesting everything on its 3rd growth, annoyingly it looks like I'm not because I've got a farm full of 4th growth trees 😖

Yesterday morning I started continuously harvest everything regardless of what round it's on: maybe on round 3 goes to derby, but harvesting lower rounds will turn them into round 3 eventually.Quote:

It's looking promising. I have been taking readings in my "in-between" time at work. The rate needed to win has been decreasing as time goes on which is good news. A lower rate-to-win means it will require less. At the most current rate the goal will be reached in about 11 hours as long as rates stay where they are at.Quote:

Harvesting things that don't have time that get to stage 3, doesn't help with the event.
Harvesting stage 4 doesn't help with the event.
