Do mods get compensated? money, gems, behind the scenes for updates, game testing... etc...
To people asking for Clan Wars. I really wanna slap your faces off. But I can't. There's still so much to improve in this game... There are still so much issues need addressing... Before they implement something this big, they must fix the small andother big ones first...
Clashers: We want clan wars!!!
Supercell: Ladies and Gentz, we announce Clan Wars...
Clashers: ZOMG THANKS!!!
* Turns out their clan aren't competitive enough*
Clahsers: YOU GREEDY SUPERCELL ALWAYS WANTING MONEY!
Supercell: Huh? What did I do this time?
Clashers: YOU WANTS ME TO SPEND MONEY SO I CAN BE COMPETITIVE IN CLAN WARS...
Seriously I don't want that fluffy bunny.
No we don't get paid and to be honest I wouldn't want to be - it's not my job it's for a sense of making a difference in a community, although the occasional item of clothing sometimes appears which is nice.
Yes we get give advance notice of things and we give our thoughts on them, this is the customer advocacy part of the role, as we spend so much time here and in the game we kind of get a feel for what will work and what won't from the point of view of the players. Often we agree but occasionally we are pretty clearly in disagreement on things - I hated (and still do) the fact we lost the levels for example.
Anyway thats the main reason we get the behind the scenes info, the other is if there is an issue we can relay that back to the Devs - so for example when we had the under attack bug we all were making sure that was on SC's minds as it affected a lot of people.
At the end of the day it's nice being able to see things from both sides. We have all signed non disclosure agreements which means we have no right to say anything that isn't in the public domain.
That's just my 2c on that question, maybe other mods might like to reply also if they have time - I figured it's an interesting one it deserves a decent reply.
Couldn't agree with you more here.:)
I have been a mod now since late January and cannot believe how time has just flown by. It's amazing to be a part of such an awesome team of people. Besides helping out on the forum to get to talk about the game, give our feedback and point of view on lots of subjects.
Of course we secured them before you had a chance to burn them.
:p
Are there any retired mods, and do retired mods have the right to release closed game content not released to the people?
Also, what are your favorite clan wars idea? *cough* mines in my sig *cough* i know you love it *cough*

Im a Clan War freak sorry guys :p
What even is the clan wars, and I see 'the strab' in tags:confused:
Roman anyone who would go to the trouble you did on that thread deserves a round of applause. AND you used the clan I hang out in as the example pic - you got my vote there for sure!
The nda applies even if you leave to be honest if the information hasn't been released we can't talk about it. It's not just that though these guys trust us and are really open with us where they can it wouldn't be right to betray them really. Having said that there's very little i've seen that hasn't made it to be public knowledge.
How does the report a thread system work? Do all mods get a notificaiton/message with the reason and link to thread?:)
