Yes, just like pets, and goes right to your barn, not the bookstand. I have been relatively diligent with feeding waking, though can't say for sure how many times.
If it is 12, then that's 300XP on its own schedule, separate from the pets. Will be interesting to see how it changes with a second animal.
I've not yet been rewarded with anything. Does my elephant not love me enough? :p

Seeing all the MANY reports of drops from the giraffe folks, as compared to the elephant and hippo folks, makes me think that the coding for giraffes animals is spot on, while the other animals may be a bit buggy. Some may work as intended and some may not -Quote:

My BROWN hippo (with frog) has given me nothing in 15 wake ups.
Peachie's GREY elephant (feather duster) has given her nothing as well.

For the record -- my beige giraffe gave me a saw on the 12th wake up.
FWIW, my grey hippo has been awakened daily, and so far, nothing. The bird cleaning its teeth is cute, but no gifts have been forthcoming. Personally, I don't really care. I would expect if it does give a gift it'll be much like the visitor's extra gifts - useless other than to sell. I am fully expanded in the town and yet Iget town bldg material. Ihave over 800 mining tools, yet Iget mining tools. I need puzzle pieces and get none from anything. So, chances are the hippo will give just another lame gift, so I don't really care one way or the other.Today, because he doesn't go in the water, I built him a watering hole where he normally sleeps. Am curious to see if he will sleep "in" it. Fingers crossed.
My brown elephant gave me it's first drop today, a plank. Some have mentioned 12 feedings as the drop number, but that seems a bit high to me. I don't think I've fed him 12 times yet. Maybe 10? I have not been counting.
If you completely surround his little shower with ponds or ditches, he will sleep in them. His sleeping place moves around so you need water in more than one location. Since I like mine in the water, I've left her sleeping in the river at the top of the sanctuary.Quote:
