Reworked Builder Base
I don't know if these were already posted, but from what I could see, they were not. I got some lil ideas for improving the builder base experience overall. Anyway, here they are:
1. First, the Clock Tower boost.I'm not saying that it should affect the main base as well, as others said. That would be...meh. But I think it could have more functionality in the BB by doing these thingys:
*The CT should affect the time left before being able to get loot from battles. After all, if everything is 10x faster in this village, why would the loot system make an exception? This will also make people get their hands on a higher level CT (because from what I can see so far people don't pretty much focus on maxing that out). And they might even gem the clock tower boost to get the loot faster. So I don't think this little modification would affect Supercell's business at
all.
*Toggleable Speed Mode: maybe sometimes you want to attack more often and some other times you want to get done with some upgrades faster. So this would pretty much just let you choose between a x5, x10 and x20 speed time. And the boost would still have the pretty much same effect. Let's take 6 minutes of boost (so 1 hour in total with the current x10 boost). This means that the x5 boost will last for 20 minutes irl, thus giving you more time to attack, while the x20 one will finish everything faster. Maybe the latter one is more useful for small upgrades like traps.
2.The ability to move the Barbarian Statue (the Old one, the one you start with). But not for free. It can even be maybe turned into a movable Old Statue (would be nice to still keep both the Old and Ancient tags for the 2 different Barbarian statues currently in the village) for 250 (or more) gems. And this can both help the company get *cough* more money and the player make more space or just simply decorate the village without removing the good ol' Old Barbariton Statue.
3. Upgrade timesssss. This was supposed to be a faster kind of village, yet a lot of upgrades take quite some time. And I am saying this because, please, just think about it. A normal builder from your main village upgrades a mine in like 2 mins while a MASTER builder needs 20 for the same upgrade. #NormalBuilderFTW. This is a small change, but at least the small buildings like: a mine, elixir collector, firecracker, mine etc. that are easier to upgrade than repairing a destroyed sandcastle, should take less time to upgrade.
4.More builders problem, solved but also balanced. And I mean it. Now, a lot of players are complaining that you only have a single builder (even if it's a lil stupid considering you often find yourself on a shortage of loot rather than builders in the BB), so papa Corruptor thought bout dis: as the MB is needed in the main village to gear up a cannon, archer tower or mortar, why can't normal builders visit the BB as well? But here's the catch: 2 normal builders are needed to upgrade anything (or maybe only certain things, will cover that later in this category) in the BB, not only 1. After all, they have to do the tough intellectual and physical work of a MB of hitting the glass of an elixir storage with a hammer right? Well... yea, kinda. Maybe. K I stop here.
Now the balancing of the whole thing:
I. No upgrades can be done with the 2 builders in the BB while the MB is gearing something up in the main village. After all, the lil dudes need guidance from the big guy, right? And they can't get it when the big memester is alone doing God knows what *cough*.
II. I made it so that you need 2 builders only to upgrade anything in the BB because of one thing: FTP guys. If you would of needed 3 builders to do the job people would complain about not having the third guy, thus blaming the company for making a P2W game. And I'd rather not hear those guys crying about the meaning of life. Ever. So here you go. Problem solved.
III. Upgrades take more time if done by the normal builders (see the fourth point for an exception/more detail about the upgrade complexity). Bigger buildings that is. Anyway, read on, still a lot of things left to read.
IV. There are two options here: either make it so that the normal builders can only upgrade simple buildings for the same time it takes for the MB to do, some of these being: the resource collectors, firecrackers (you just place some pieces of steel on a wooden box, exceedingly complex, y'know), simple traps only (Mine, Tesla Tower and Spring Trap), the Town Hall (it's only a frickin wooden and stone building after all, if the builders are able of building a marble Casterly-Rock-Like fortress with molten lava inside in the main village without the assistance of a Master Builder, they can surely handle a wooden building with some windows and an entrance that can even fit a P.1000 Ratte), and some other ones, did not think about them. Maybe even the cannon/ archer tower as well, dunno.
Now the second option: longer upgrade time for all the buildings at the cost of not being able to cancel the upgrade once started (and it will also ask you "Are you sure you want to start this upgrade? It cannot be cancelled once started" before starting the upgrade), but being able to upgrade any building in the BB, no matter the complexity. Walls would still take no time to upgrade. Leave that as a pure classic.
P.S.: I don't think you can find any more balanced "more builder" request anywhere on dem internetz.
5. Cheaper upgrade costs for the upgrades that do not add more units per camp of the specified troop. I think this will make a good addition to the way people think about upgrades, maybe even focusing more on those rather than buying torches and illum... *cough* pine trees.
6. More cannon carts. I just love that downgraded version of Sparky, but it lacks the man force. Only 2 units per camp, even at max level (10 at the moment of writing this Kim-Kardashian-bum-size block of text), feels like it simply is not worth even upgrading the thing. I know they will add more upgrades in the future game updates, but incase they do not plan to buff the poor mini Schwerer Gustav gun by adding at least 1 more unit for each army, this would change the thing. Hopefully.
Abbreviatons used (the ones related to the game that is. I think you already know the ones more frequently used):
*CT: Clock Tower
*MB: Master Builder
*BB: Builder Base
Anyway, here you go. Also, sorry for some of the memetic words found in this suggestion, I still think some of them fit pretty well in the whole thing.
