Edited Base Cooldown Tradeoff
TH9 and above know that if they edit any of their bases, they cannot post it in friendly challenges for another 24 hours. This is in place so players cannot create a base they see in the middle of a clan war, practice on said base, and gain an advantage for their actual war attack. During non-war periods, the 24 hour restriction is an inconvenience, especially if you like to re-arrange walls that you've upgraded one by one into something more meaningful. It does not give an advantage in war since enemy war bases are revealed at the start of war. (It's the enemy's fault if their home base and war base are the same.)
I suggest only imposing the 24 hour cooldown during the duration of the clan war itself (exclude war prep period and non-war period). To prevent abuse from people joining a different clan that is not in war to "practice" on a war base they expect to hit for their original clan, I propose restricting all players' ability to post and accept a friendly challenge if that player joins any clan in the last 24 hours.
The new restriction might be frowned upon when clans want to see what their prospective recruits' attacks look like; however, some clans find it annoying when people join clans just to post challenges and then leave. This might put more skin in the game for recruits, encourage patience and dialogue, and benefit the clan more as a whole.
Do you think this alteration would be a net improvement to the game?
